soumya: last october i developed psoriasis of the scalp

Dr. Yafta: Hair fall could be due to hereditary or hormones .The other factors responsible for hairloss could be any recent or long standing illness, accident or surgery and certain medications, crashdieting or weight loss, use of harsh chemicals and shampoos, change of water and use of hard water. Itcan also be aggravated by smoking and stress. One needs to find out the cause of the hair falland correct it so that hair fall comes in control .

soumya: sir as i said neither my paternal side of family nor from my mothers side

soumya: nobody has had hairloss issues

soumya: i think maybe crash dieting

soumya: also last year during summers when i was in japan i couldnot apply hair oil for 3 months

soumya: when i lost 15 kgs

soumya: i started losing ahir only 6 mnths back in tandem with psoriasis

soumya: no sir i used to take combit but now i have stopped it

soumya: Sir,could it be such that crash dieting caused this hairfall after 1 yr?

soumya: i ahve stoppe dit 1 month back

soumya: okay ! so should i take multivitamins and eat a protein rich diet ?

Dr. Yafta: 1 Include protein rich food in the diet like soya , fish , milk products and chicken .

Dr. Yafta: 2 Have plenty of green veg and fruits so that the hair gets vitamins and minerals .

Dr. Yafta: 3 have Nuts like almonds, walnuts , dry fruits like apricots and raisins .

Dr. Yafta: 4 Drink at least 8 glasses of water in a day

Dr. Yafta: 5- Avoid any kind of chemical treatments on the hairDr. Yafta: 6 -Use A mild shampoo like Dr Batras shampoo to wash the hair .

Dr. Yafta: 7 Allow the hair to dry naturally

Dr. Yafta: 8 Cover the hair when travelling in open air and while in sun .

Dr. Yafta: 9-excercise to destress yourself

Dr. Yafta: 10-have 8 hours of sound sleep.
