There is no overburden (solid waste) generation in the present mining lease. Mining activities do not
generate any hazardous wastes.

ADDITIONAL INVESTMENT FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION INCLUDING ABATEMENT OF
POLLUTION.
Greenbelt was developed in an area of about 5.2 Ha. with 3898 number of plantations and spent
Rs. 70 Lakhs (including soil shifting) for greenbelt development during 2015-2016. During financial
year 2016-2017 it is proposed to developed greenbelt with about 3,000 trees.
Environmental monitoring for ambient air quality, noise level is being done regularly and we have
spent around 3.5 Lakhs for environmental monitoring activities.

ANY OTHER PARTICULARS IN RESPECT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND ABATEMENT OF POLLUTION
1. Rain water harvesting pit has been developed photographs attached as Annexure-II. 2. Kaartika Vanamahostavam organized on 25.11.2015, photographs attached as
Annexure -III. 3. Industry has been certified for standards ISO 9001: 2008. 4. Energy conservation measures are being taken.
5. Green Belt has been developed at Mines with local pieces attached as Annexure-IV.
Environmental Campaign & Awareness:
Every year World Environment day is being celebrated in plant premises. On the occasion of world environment
day, all employees and workers gathered in Plant. The environment pledge is being taken by all for
environment conservation and continuous efforts to make a green and healthy environment. The Environment
Department Head address the gathering. The World Environment Day ended with the plantation by staff,
workers.
On the occasion of world environment day various environment related competitions are organized for
company staff, workers in plant and for colony children. Competitions like Environment drawings, slogans,
essay writing etc. The main objective behind organising these competitions is to make aware people about the
environment consequence & its conservations. The winners of competitions are being awarded in the World
Environment Day program on 5th June 2015 by Plant Head.
