ACCIDENTS/INCIDENTS There were zero (0) accidents for YARTS during the period of March 1-31, 2015.
ROAD CALLS
There were zero (0) road calls for YARTS during the period of March 1-31, 2015.
SERVICE DELAYS
There was one (1) service delay during the month of March 1-31, 2015. Total on time service percentage for all
corridors was 99.79%.
3/9/15 Run 1 Run delayed 1.5 hours due to operational issue.
MISSED RUNS
There was one (1) missed VIA YARTS trips during the period of March 1-31, 2015.

EXTRA TRIPS
There were four (4) extra runs VIA YARTS trip operating during the period of March 1-31, 2015. Total extra
service hours are 10.5 hours added to the regular run total of 1075.50 for an overall total of 1086 hours.
3/9/15 Run 4 3.5hrs Extra bus sent due to 39 passengers at Amtrak. BQ number obtained.
3/11/15 Run 4 3.5hrs Extra bus sent due to 35 passengers at Amtrak. BQ number obtained.
3/30/15 Run 4 3.5hrs Extra bus sent due to 27 passengers at Amtrak. BQ number obtained.
MAINTENANCE
VIA YARTS Buses are kept maintained regularly. Currently buses are rotated among runs to evenly distribute
miles across the fleet. Regular buses are assigned to each route.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
A total of 130 YARTS customer inquiry calls were received in the VIA YARTS offices during the period from
March 1-31, 2015. A comprehensive log of incoming calls by type, including calls regarding customer
complaints, commendations, and recommendations is maintained and monitored continually.
Count on All Calls
61 Calls received on schedule issues and questions for Hwy 140 Corridor.
14 Calls received on Mammoth Lake schedule information.
4 Calls received on Sonora/Groveland schedule information.
5 Calls received on park information (lodging, tours, camping, etc.)
45 Miscellaneous calls (lost & found, hang up calls, etc.)
1 Call received as a customer complaint.

CUSTOMER COMPLAINTS AND FOLLOW UP ACTIONS
There were two (2) customer complaints received during the month of March 2015.
3/9/15 Run 6 Passenger called in from Merced College and asked where Run 6 was. Advised
that it was running 10-15 minutes late due to a mechanical issue.
3/23/15 Run 9 Motorist called in and complained that a YARTS bus had exited the Midpines
Park and Ride and YARTS pulled the video for review, but found that the
camera on this particular bus was not operating correctly. Camera has been reset
and is now operational. VIA Operations Management followed up with the
driver, who remembered the incident. The driver said they had looked before
exiting and the path was clear. Once the driver had committed to exit the stop, the
vehicle came into view and was traveling fairly fast on theleft, but it was too late
for the driver to stop their exit from the parking lot. Driver continued to exit as
safely as possible.
VIA will work with YARTS on establishing procedures for making sure cameras
remainoperable at all times, or malfunctions detected early so cameras can be
fixed or replaced.
Wheel Chair Requests
There were zero (0) wheelchair requests filled for the month of March 1-31, 2015. Additionally in the last
month or two there have been regular unannounced wheelchair riders on various YARTS runs. Ten (10)
wheelchair buses are available to accommodate YARTS passengers in accordance with ADA guidelines.
Cal-Trans & Traffic Delays
There were no Cal-Trans or traffic delays during the month of March 1-31, 2015.
Special Events
YARTS provided complimentary transportation from El Portal and Mariposa for guests attending the Cal Trans
Ferguson Slide Project Event on March 13, 2015. YARTS staff and VIA Operations staff attended a planning
meeting and walk through with Cal Trans and the project contractor prior to the event. Two buses were
provided from Mariposa and one bus ran from El Portal to the event.
