Dr. Rajashri Chavan, Faculty of MBA took initiative to get Excellence in teaching by implementing group

work in the classroom. She also guided upon how a group activity can be implemented in effective way.

Step1. Identification of Instructional Objectives, Step2. Making the task more challenging, Step3.

Decisiona bout the group size and its division, Step4. Allowing sufficient time for Group Activity.

Group work is an effective method to motivate students, encourage active learning, and develop key

critical-thinking, communication, and decision-making skills. Group Work or Group teaching requires

careful planning and facilitation. Group work usually involves groups of students formally working

together on projects or assignment, though it may sometimes take place in formal classroom settings.
