Annual Report 2020-2021

National Service Scheme of ("Annual Report 2020-2021") Bharati Vidyapeeth's

Yashwantrao Mohite College of Arts, Science & Commerce College, Pune works

with the objective to create a platform for the overall development of youth. The

aim and goal of the NSS is to motivate the students into responsible citizens the

following activities were undertaken during the academic year 2020-21 Due to the

pandemic of COVID-19, keeping in mind the social distancing & gatherings, there

were restrictons in orgnizing various activities.

1) International Yoga Day:-

International Yoga Day was celebrated on sunday 21st June 2020. As it was

Sunday and considering the COVID pandemic, all the teaching, non teaching staff

and students performed yoga at home and prepared a video of the activity. The

Videos and Photos of the activity is uploaded on the college P.C

2) Rakshabandhan Celebration:- On Monday, 3rd Aug. 2020

Rakshabandhan was Celebrated at Blindschool, Kothrud. Programme officer

& NSS Committee members tied Rakhi's to girls and distributed Sweets, the event

was organized by taking all the preventive measures.

3) 9th August 2020:-

August Kranti Din was celebrated on 9th Aug 2020 by paying homage to

great leaders at the hands of officiating Principal Dr. S.R.Patil Sir, and NSS

programme offices Dr. S.G.Pawar and all the staff members.

Fit India Freedom Run

RUNNING: The human body’s most raw form of FREEDOM”

Fit India Movement is conducting Fit India Freedom Run from 15th

August –

2nd

October 2020 to encourage fitness and help us all to get freedom from obesity,

laziness, stress, anxiety, diseases etc. The concept behind this run is that “It can be

run anywhere, anytime!”.Organized byMinistry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The

Fit India Freedom Run was successfully completed by Oragnizing Running and

Walking event at a stretch of 5 kms in the Rambaugh Colony area of ,Kothrud.

4) 23rd September 2020:-

Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil Jayanti was celebrated by orgnizing a cleanliness

drive in the Campus. All the N.S.S Volunteers, staff members actively participated

in the event.

5) 2nd October 2020:-

Gandhi Jayanti & Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti was celebrated by

Oraganizing a cleanliness drive at LIC Colony, Kelewadi, Hanuman nagar,

Moreshramik vasahat. 150 Masks were distributed at the hands of Incharge

principal Dr.S.R.Patil at Kelewadi area of kothrud.

● Almost 67 saplings of coconut trees were planted in the college campus. It

was planted at the hands of Incharge Principal, NSS Programme officer,

staff members and NSS volunteers.

7) 31st Oct. 2020 - "Rashtriya Ekta Divas"-

All the Staff members, Incharge Principal Dr. S.R.Patil NSS Programme

officer Dr.S.G Pawar in presence of BV's N.S.S Co-ordinator, Dr.Avinash Mhetre

took the pledge on Rashtriya Ekta Divas.

8) 31st Oct 2020:-

Birth Anniversary of Sardar vallabhbhai Patel & Death Anniversary of

Indiraji Gandhi was celebrated on 31st Oct 2020.

9)11th Nov 2020:-

Maulana Azad Birth Anniversary is celebrated as a " National Education

Day" on 11th Nov 2020. All the Staff Members payed homage to an Indian

Scholar, Independent activist, and a senior leader.

10) 8th Jan 2021:- Samaj Prabhodhan saptah

Samaj Prabodhan Saptah was oragnized on the occasion of Dr. Patangraoji

Kadam Saheb's jayanti. On 7th Jan 2021 Senior Journalist shri Kumar ketkar

addressed online and on 8th Jan.2021, Shri. Shripal Sabnis delivered a speech on

the life, struggle and the achievments of Dr. Patangraoji kadam saheb and Bharati

Vidyapeeth.

11) 23rd Jan 2021:-

Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti was Celebrated in the college by

garlanding the photo and paying tribute at the hands of I/C Principal Dr. S.R.Patil,

Dr. S.G.Pawar &all the Staff Members.

12) 12th Jan 2021:-

Swami Vivekanand jayanti was Celebrated by Paying homage to the great

leader of Philosophy.

13) NSS weak

NSS was formally launched on 24th September, 1969, the birth centenary year of

the Father of the Nation. Therefore, 24 September is celebrated every year as NSS

Day. There were various competitions conducted like drama, presentation, quiz

and speech

14) Polio Imunilization :-

Programme Officer Dr.Sunil.G.Pawar and Y.M.College, Pune Volunteers

actively Participated in Polio Imunilization on, 02 February 2021.

14) 18th

Feb 2021:-

Road Safety and traffic awareness programme was oragnized in association

with the Traffic Police department. Programme officer Dr. S.G.Pawar, Dr.

D.V.Phad and the NSS Volunteers Participated in the event.

15) 19th Feb 2021:-

Shivajayanti was celebrated to pay homage to great Maratha warrior Chatrapati

Shivaji Maharaj

16) 10th March 2021:-

On the Occasion of the Death anniversary of great leader Smt. Savitribai

Phule, all the Staff members payed tribute to the leader behind women

empowerment.

17) 3rd Jan 2021:- Savitribai Phule Jayanti

The Pillar and Support behind women education Smt. Savitribai Phule, her

jayanti was celebrated by paying homage at the hands of I/C Principal, programme

officers and all the staff members.

All the above activities were undertaken due the able guidance of Incharge

Principal Dr. S.R.Patil N.S.S Programme officer Dr.S.G. Pawar, Dr.D.V.Phad ,

NSS Committee members, NSS volunteers and all of the teaching & Non-teaching

faculty.

All the above activities were carried out under the able guidance of Incharge
