Don’t …

• Think that simply reading through your

notes will be enough revision – it won’t!

• Believe you’ve got a photographic

memory

• Try to learn everything on the night before

the exam – you can’t!

Revision needs to be active !

Revision isn’t fun but it does bring great rewards

• Start now!

• Prepare a plan – know your exam dates

• Make short summaries of each subject’s

topics using revision cards

• Revise for short periods; 30 – 45 minutes

followed by a break

Excellent and enjoyable learning for all

• Just reading text books won’t work

• Answer past papers and mark them;

give extra time to the topics with which

you struggle

• Regularly revisit topics – ask your family

to verbally test you

• Occasionally, share revision with friends

• Encourage the removal of things that present distractions

• Offer to test and fire random questions
