a) To use expanded noun phrases to describe and specify

e.g. the beautiful blue butterfly with tiny wings.

b) To be able to identify and use adjectives correctly.

c) Using the suffix ‘-ly’ to create adverbs which describe a

verb.

d) Using apostrophes for;

-contractions e.g. I am = I’m.

-showing ownership (possessive) e.g.This bag belongs to

Hassan = This is Hassan’s bag.

e) To use commas when writing words in a list.

exclamation marks when writing commands, questions or

statements.
