Year 2 SleepoverParent briefing meetingThursday 29th September 2011

Date and time Thursday 13th October 2011

Children will need to be in school for 6.30pm.

What you need to know Children must have dinner before they

come back to school. They must arrive back at school in

pyjamas that they can move in, sensible footwear and a warm jumper.

All children must bring a labelled rucksack with a separate bag containing clothes for the next day (see kit list).

Essential equipment for the sleepover•Pillow, sleeping bag and a sleeping mat•Towel and toiletries•Nightwear (dressing gown)•Slippers•School uniform for the next day•A list of what the children have packed.Optional equipment:•Cuddly toy•Reading book

Please make sure your child packs their own bag so they know what they have brought with them.

Please write a list of all the equipment the children have packed and put it at the top of the bag.

Food in the evening If your child has any dietary requirements

you must write them down and give them to the class teacher as soon as possible.

The children will be provided with healthy snacks and drinks in the evening (please do not send any snacks in unless previously agreed with a member of staff).

Breakfast

There will be choice!CerealCooked food

Security The children will be sleeping in the hall. Activities will take place in the learning

resource centre Staff we be regularly checking and

keeping watch on the children. Gates to enter the school will be securely

locked.

We have support from teachers and teaching assistants for the night stay!

Activities We will play circle games when the

children arrive. They will be able to look at the stars Have a bed time story with hot

chocolate! Wake up and have a delicious breakfast! Space themed activities

Please do not worry We will call you at any point during the

sleepover if your child gets upset.

Year 2 assembly We would like to invite you to a Year 2

space assembly on Friday 14th October 2011 at 2.30pm in the school hall
