Here are your home learning tasks for Monday. Our new topic this week is learning all about the world. Remember Live Chat is available on the school website from 9.30am to 12.30pm so please do get in touch if you need any help with your home learning tasks.

Maths Writing In Maths we are completing our learning on tenths.

Watch the 5 minute video and then enjoy the interactive online activity and help the robots Bob and Hoop with their pizza designs. Then complete the Monday Maths worksheet, which is on our WFH – Year 3 webpage. If you don’t have a printer, write the answers in your home learning book. You are going to write about the key events in the story. First please watch the charming 4-minute animation called The Black Hat. https://www.literacyshed.com/blackhat.html (You may need to copy and paste the link into your browser.)

If you have a printer, print the Monday English task worksheet. If you don’t have a printer, then you can write your answers in your home learning book. Watch the film again and this time pause the video at three key moments for the boy in the story. For each event, write a brief explanation of what is happening in that moment and complete the speech bubble and write what you think the boy would say if he could share his thoughts. You can choose where to pause the video. A good place to start, for instance, might be when the boy first finds the magic hat.

Reading We are reading the Roald Dahl book Fantastic Mr Fox.

Spelling We would like you learn to spell the names of the world’s seven continents:

Asia, Africa, Europe, Australasia, North America, South America and Antarctica. Practise writing the names using pencils, pens, chalk, crayons or typing them.
