Topic

This week we are learning all about the world. We would you like you to watch this BBC Bitesize video that examines how ceremonial masks are an important part of African tribal culture: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0114c6w (You may need to copy and paste this link into your browser.) We would like you to design your own African mask. Use paper, cardboard or anything you can find at home to make your own colourful creation. If you would like some inspiration for your design, visit this website: https://www.firstpalette.com/craft/african-paper-plate-mask.html

When you have completed your African mask, we would love to see a photo of your design. Please email us a photo to: [email protected]

Spelling We would like you learn to spell the names of the world’s seven continents:

Asia, Africa, Europe, Australasia, North America, South America and Antarctica. Practise writing the names using pencils, pens, chalk, crayons or typing them. Remember they need a capital letter as they are proper nouns. Here is a song to help you learn them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6DSMZ8b3LE (Please do skip the ad at the start.) Be active: Joe Wicks workout 9am to 9.30am daily: YouTube channel ‘The Body Coach TV.’ Or enjoy dancing along to the song Roar at https://family.gonoodle.com/activities/roar Watch Newsround on BBC iPlayer and discuss what is happening in the world.

Have a brilliant day and keep up the good work!
