PLANTS

• Around the trees you would find or sorts of plants these are some of there names:

• Clematis, Wonga Wonga vine, Dusky coral pea, Native Sarsaparilla and Wombat berry.

• The floor beneath you will have all sorts of ferns including the king fern.

• If you look carefully you might spot a golden glory pea or an everlasting daisy.

Woodlands

• Woodlands are up on top of hills and some of there trees are :Scribbly gum, Mountain spotted gums and grass trees.

Heathlands

• Heathlands are at the bottom of the hill were it is a bit wet and muddy.

Rainforest

• The first few trees you will first spot are: Lilly pilly, possumwood, Cedar wattle, pepper bush and the grey myrtle.

Mammals

• If you wake up in the night check out the blue mountains national parks brush tailed possums, koalas, sugar gliders and heaps more.

• Koalas are also in the wild park.• Some other names of the mammals are

bandicoots, spotted tailed quolls and swamp wallabies.

• You can find wombats, red necked wallabies, wallaroos and swamp wallabies.

• You might also find some eastern grey kangaroos.

Rainbow lorikeet birds

• Some of the flowers attract to the rainbow lorikeets.

• The rainbow lorikeet eats lizards, mice and insects around the park.

Aboriginal heritage

• The Aboriginals lived here since the beginning of time.

• VISITING:

Down at the Blue Mountains there have been over three million people to visit each year.

Management of the park

• The Blue Mountains national park trust managed the park from 1959 to 1971. Since 1971 the director of the National Parks and Wildlife Service has taken over the Blue Mountains.

• Since they took over the national park has grown. It’s now on the world heritage list.
