Project Manager, 25th Year Celebrations Ramah Darom
Summary: In 2021, Ramah Darom will celebrate its 25th year of operations. We are seeking a motivated person to spearhead our year-long efforts to mark this key milestone. The Project Manager will report to the Director of Development & Board Relations and will work closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications and the entire Ramah Darom team plus a committee of volunteers, to plan and execute all details of this celebration. This is a full-time role based in Ramah Darom’s Atlanta office, and the successful candidate will spend a portion of summer 2021 at our campus in Clayton, GA.
Reports to: Director of Development & Board Relations KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning (primary focus for the first half of 2020) • Working with a volunteer committee of the Board of Directors and the professional staff, lead the
development of a year-long plan to mark the 25th year, to include multiple events and extensive fundraising efforts.
• Share plans with the Ramah Darom staff and select Board members to solicit feedback and establish buy-in
• Create and manage a comprehensive project budget
Event Coordination • Coordinate and oversee multiple celebration events in various markets including the Ramah Darom
campus, working with local partners as necessary: o establish event objectives and schedules o book venues o select caterers and work directly with them o manage venue layout planning o coordinate design of promotional materials o create invitee list and manage RSVPs o coordinate all on-site event logistics
Alumni Relations & Fundraising • Working closely with the Ramah Darom professional staff, develop strategy to communicate with, attract
and engage alumni around the 25th year • Develop approach to collecting current contact information for alumni (former campers, families, retreat
attendees and staff) • Work with Development Director to set targets for, and execute, an alumni solicitation program • Develop plans for post-25th year ongoing alumni engagement
Other Responsibilities • Establish and lead other efforts to mark the anniversary as appropriate. Could include social media plans,
publishing opportunities, on-campus displays, PR efforts, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
This will be an exciting role that will require strong commitment, occasional weekend work and likely some travel. The ideal candidate has an existing relationship with, or some existing knowledge of, Ramah Darom and has a passion for our organization and our work. This role also requires: • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • A highly motivated self-starter • Ability to work collaboratively, plus the capacity to take independent initiative in problem solving and work
plan development • Demonstrated capacity to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting all deadlines • Experience and/or ability to work with, and direct, volunteers We are looking for a hard-working, non-clock watcher who loves Ramah Darom and is excited to help us mark this important milestone. The ideal candidate would possess a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a fast-paced workplace.
