SICHUAN AIRLINES CO., LTD., established in 2002, is a regional airline headquartered in Chengdu, Sichuan in the People’s Republic of China. The airline mainly operates scheduled domestic flights out of Chengdu Airport and Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport. The airline launched its first long-haul overseas route in June 2012 with flights from Chengdu hub to Vancouver, Canada. VR HOLDINGS is official agency of LET AircraftIndustries, of the Czech Republic, in Nepal, thatmanufactures Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) aircrafts.
LET and VR Holdings signed the agency agreement in the presence of the Czech Minister for Industry and Trade Jan Mlàdek.
LET has a history of manufacturing aircraft that goes back to 80 long years! It has produced 1,100 STOL aircrafts and strives to deliver the highest quality STOL aircraft, enabling safe, reliable and timely air transport.
VR Holdings has been named the official agency for LET’s L410 model of STOL aircraft. The plane is designed especially for landing and takeoff from relatively short runways on difficult terrain like that of Nepal, by maintaining all the safety standards.
“This model is equipped with a high altitudeendurance mechanism which makes the L410 best suited for a country like Nepal. With a broad and spacious cabin and artistic interior, the L410 is sure to bring a positive change in the aviation sector,” VR Holdings said.

Summit Air is one of the L410 aircrafts that was delivered to the carrier on October 9, 2014. Test flights were conducted at Jomsom and Lukla airports, two of the most difficult airports in the world, in mid-December last year.It currently operates as 19-seater L410 aircraft.
