Yemenia Focus, is a scientific report that address the main
issues that faces Aden region, we try to develop a data
base and solutions for most of critical issues in Aden.
Yes there are many difficulties, but we will try to solve
them by a sample and scientific approach, in your hand is
the first issue of this series.
ADEN – AMMAN Market:
Aden is a strategic location in Arabian peninsula, and
Global World Market. In spite of the historical record of
Aden City the segments define by three target groups,
patents, students, and tourist. While the peak traffic is in
September from each year ( back to school). Also the
local passengers between the capital Sanna and Aden.
Three years data base for Aden Amman Sector is
consider, the seasonality model is defined and the peak
period also noted i.e ( month of September).
The accuracy of the analysis is controlled by Max/Min
Signal Tracking Analysis which shows a minors errors in
some points ( 4.29) while coefficient of determination =
70%,
The winter season started from 27 Oct. 2014
and ended by 29 Mar. 2015.
There are two operators are working on this
sectors,
Yemenia and Royal Jordanian
Yemenia operate by one flight per week, while
RJ operate 4 (four) flights per week.
The table shows data of 2013 and 2014 on
monthly bases, the pie chart shows the market
of IY = 13.7 % and RJ = 86.3 % .
The monthly outcome demand listed below
Assuming operators having the same aircraft
type i.e A320-200 with 150 seat (aircraft
configuration)

The forecasted traffic pattern shows stability of the trend as uniform distribution.
There is some peak periods, which also define clearly on the graph.
The accuracy of the forecast is fair and determine by Max/Min signal tracking
analysis, all the constrains are in the bond except three reading shown by yellow color
The outcome of the analysis are the winter months – that can be used for calculate the
required frequency for operation by the assign aircraft type.
The market share for IY = 13.7 % and for RJ = 86.3 % .
Assuming operators having the same aircraft type i.e A320-200 with 150 seat
(aircraft configuration)
Yemenia Winter Schedule:
The operation for winter Schedule started by

The market segment for Aden is clearly shown
in the pie chart, we have three – four target
groups, 1. Medical Yemeni group. 2. Egyptians
3. Sri Lanka 4. Indonesian.
Recommendations :
Currently Yemenia operate one frequency from
Aden, we recommend to increase the
frequency up to two frequencies, (ADE –
AMM). And connected by Cairo (CAI- AMM-
ADE).
This route also will feed another new route that
shows a great opportunity to serve between
Jordan and Sri Lanka. i.e ( AMM-ADE-
CMB)
