We won’t make it every year; we’ll only make it when it’s right to make it. Vintage: The 2016 vintage was in general very mild with low rainfall. The lack of rain looked like it would result in a quick harvest, but a big downpour in early February made sure the vintage was more evenly spread out. The yields were up on the couple of previous years and the quality is looking great. Nose: The nose offers complex and concentrated aromas of cherries, dried cranberries and fresh pouch tobacco with a hint of stone fruits. Palate: The palate is beautifully balanced with intense notes of dark cherries, licorice root, anise and cloves, followed by an amazingly long finish. Pairing: Try this wine with venison medallions with a parsnip puree and roasted baby beetroots. Oak maturation: 50% new French oak hogsheads for 20 months. Cellaring: Drink now to 2031 Alc: 15% TA: 7.14g/L pH: 3.42 RS: 3.4g/L

Yeoman 2016 Shiraz McLaren Vale Story: The Yeoman is a statement of the best wine

from an outstanding vintage, be it the Shiraz from

2016 or something else in future vintages. We won’t

make it every year; we’ll only make it when it’s right to

make it.

Vintage: The 2016 vintage was in general very mild

with low rainfall. The lack of rain looked like it would

result in a quick harvest, but a big downpour in early

February made sure the vintage was more evenly

spread out. The yields were up on the couple of

previous years and the quality is looking great.

Nose: The nose offers complex and concentrated

aromas of cherries, dried cranberries and fresh pouch

tobacco with a hint of stone fruits.

Palate: The palate is beautifully balanced with intense

notes of dark cherries, licorice root, anise and cloves,

followed by an amazingly long finish.

Pairing: Try this wine with venison medallions with a

parsnip puree and roasted baby beetroots.

Oak maturation: 50% new French oak hogsheads for

20 months.

Cellaring: Drink now to 2031

Alc: 15% TA: 7.14g/L

pH: 3.42 RS: 3.4g/L
