She has also taught in the Graduate Program of Art Studies at the Iberoamerican University in Mexico City and the College of Arts and Letters at The University of Havana. She has served as editor of the newspaper Cuban Art News and the magazine CubanArt at the Cuban National Council of Fine Arts. In 2001, she received the Guy Pérez Cisneros Award for Art Criticism for her article “Someone has to Wake Up the Ostrich,” about the works of Sandra Ramos.
