Yitzhak Rabin 1922-1995

Yitzhak Rabin was born in Jerusalem on March 1st 1922.

In 1941 Rabin joined the Palmach, the Jewish Defense Forces.

During the War of Independence, Rabin commanded the forces, charged with the defense of the approaches to Jerusalem.

Rabin commanded the IDF during the Six Days War.

Life History

In 1974 Rabin became the Prime Minister for the first time.

In 1992 Rabin led the labor party to victory. In September 1995 Rabin signed the Oslo

agreement with the PLO. Rabin sign a peace agreement with Jorden.

Life History

Rabin received a Nobel prize for peace. He was killed on November 4th at a peace

rally by a right wing Israeli opposed to the peace agreement, named Yigal Amir.
