The Holiday Season at HMS
presented us with many
opportunities to show how much
we care about others. Mittens,
pj’s and hats were collected,
food was collected, and presents
were given to those in need. To
celebrate life and the Holidays,
HMS students dressed in their
finest laughed and joined their
friends at the annual Holiday
Dance sponsored by the HMS
Student Council and NJHS>

Choir Concert
By: Lilly Bianco
On Wednesday, December 3rd was the
Hobart Middle School’s choir concert. The
concert was directed by choir teacher, Mr.
Wolff. The groups that performed were
Wolfkins, 6th grade, 7th grade, and 8th grade.
The choir sang many joyful holiday songs. All
groups did a terrific job at singing. Every
student in choir did their personal best. It was
a great concert and the audience and choir
students had a great time. Some of the songs
that were sung were “Let It Go,” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of
the Year,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman,” and “Hey, Ho, Nobody
Home.” The performances were great and everyone was following all
of the rules. No one was fidgeting or playing with their hair. Everyone
was just singing and having a good time.

6th Grade End of Semester Reward
By Lilly Bianco
All 6th grade teachers decided to have a little end of the
semester treat for the 6th graders. All 6th graders on the last
Friday before break played a game of dodge ball against their four
core teachers. They also watched a movie and ate snacks and drank
juice during 6th and 7th hours. It was great for the 6th graders to
relax, have fun, and have a great way to start Winter Break!
DRAMA CLUB ENDS! By Emilie Arias
Do you like performing on a stage? Do you like performing? Then
you’ll be sad to hear Drama club is over. Of course, you like
performing to an audience but the club was great. It started in
October and ended in November. Students learned how to perform in
front of a crowd and performed skits just for fun. Mrs. Shurr
shared, “I really enjoyed Drama Club.” Also, she will be in charge of a
talent show soon. Go on the school city of Hobart website to find out
more. Any further questions go to the ISS room at lunch.
