Director of Photography Born in South Africa in 1975, Yoliswa grew up in Tübingen, Germany. For two years she studied “Fine Art Photography” and “History of Arts” under Obie Oberholzer at Rhodes University, South Africa. Following this she worked in Cape Town and also in Germany at the TV stations SWR and BR. Between 1999 and 2005 Yoliswa studied cinematography at Potsdam-Babelsberg film school (HFF). During her studies she also participated in the selection procedure for new directing students and instructed courses in basic cinematography, assisting Prof. Misselwitz (2002-2004). After film school Yoliswa joined the Berlinale Talent Campus and was invited by the European Film Academy to Malta for new and upcoming filmmakers to collaborate. She was also a member of the jury of the film festival filmplus in Cologne (section doc film) and a member of the jury of the German Cinematographers Prize (section feature film). Since 2013 she has been a member of the European and the German Film Academy. For three semesters in 2015 and 2016, she lectured at the Film University Potsdam Babelsberg as a stand in for the professor of cinematography. Yoliswa von Dallwitz, née Gärtig - Dipl. Director of Photography

Born in South Africa in 1975, Yoliswa grew up in Tübingen, Germany. For two years she studied “Fine Art Photography” and “History of Arts” under Obie Oberholzer at Rhodes University, South Africa. Following this she worked in Cape Town and also in Germany at the TV stations SWR and BR. Between 1999 and 2005 Yoliswa studied cinematography at Potsdam-Babelsberg film school (HFF).
