Nor Here Neither There

The title N r Here Neither The

might suggest the difficulty in assign-ing and encapsulating an exhibition with a title, a difficulty that hasbecome the motor for the curatorial prerogative of this exhibition . Theexhibition did not begin with an agenda nor did it arrive at one. This isnot to suggest that the position occupied is ideologically wishy-washy, Itis not meant to ride the fence but to respond to current conditions of art-making in their particularities. The artists include Doug Aitken, TomBurr, Willie Cole, Stan Douglas, Valie Export, Chris Finley, SuzanneGarrison, Ideal Copy, Sharon Lockhart, Mythter, Lorraine O'Grady,5pandau Parks, Cynthia Stewart and Nari Ward .
