The Hull Real Ale and Cider Festival is held at Hull City Hall in September every year. The three-day festival is organised by the Hull and East Yorkshire Branch of CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale. The real ale selection provides something for everyone, male or female, and all ages with the following beer styles represented: Milds, Bitters, Best Bitters, Strong Ales, Stouts, Porters, Real Lagers, Golden Ales, Speciality Beers and Organic Beers.

A very warm welcome awaits you when you visit this historic family brewery situated in the beautiful market town of Masham. The Black Bull in Paradise Visitor Centre and Brewery Tap is open daily from 10.30am, where you can sample the Theakston legendary ales; there are always six different beers to try. Discover the story behind the famous Old Peculier ale and experience the wonderful aromas of hops and malt that are used to brew the award-winning Theakston beers! Experience firsthand

the craft and skill that goes into brewing the beers on a guided tour of the original Victorian brew house. The brewing process is built on almost two centuries of tradition, passed down through five generations of the Theakston family. From the Visitor Centre you can see the working cooperage, one of the last remaining in this country, where craft cooper, Jonathan Manby, handcrafts wooden casks ready to be filled with the legendary Old Peculier ale!
