The pastor continues the thanksgiving. The institution of the Lord's Supper is recalled. The pastor concludes: Pastor: And so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts in Jesus Christ, we offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving as a holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ's offering for us, as we proclaim the mystery of faith. Memorial Acclamation The pastor invokes the present work of the Holy Spirit in the Epiclesis and praises the Trinity, remembering the Saints who have passed. (The names of the saints will be read now. Please find them printed on the back panel). Pastor: All honor and glory is yours, holy and loving God, now and forever. Great Amen THE LORD'S PRAYER Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. THANKSGIVING OVER THE OIL Pastor: Let us pray. People: O God, the giver of health and salvation, we give thanks to you for the gift of oil. As your holy apostles anointed many who were sick and healed them, so pour out your Holy Spirit on us and on this gift, that those who in faith and repentance receive this anointing may be made whole; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. SHARING THE BREAD AND CUP All here are welcome to receive the bread and cup. We serve this evening by intinction. Come forward, receive a piece of the broken bread and dip it lightly in the cup. If you desire "gluten free" communion ask the celebrant when you come forward. Those who wish may also come to the kneeling bench for special anointing and prayer for healing! Agnus Dei
