Foundation Trust Fund StatusThe Foundation Trust Fund maintains its growth facilitated by the Angel Appeal gifts, direct Foundation gifts, Dinner/Auction earnings as well as memorial offerings received during the year. As of June 30, 2020, the balance of the Trust was $2,122,329.00.

The 2019/2020 earnings for the school were $35,696.00 (85% of earnings). Since May 1997, OCS has been blessed to receive a total of $1,209,625.00 from the Trust.

The goal of $1 million became a reality in 2005, and the goal of $2 million was reached in 2019! With continued angelic generosity, the $3 million mark is expected to be reached around the year 2030. This will allow sustained spiritual and academic excellence at Opelousas Catholic School.

VICTORY from 2019-2020 Angels!In last year’s drive, Appeal gifts amounting to $29,728.00 blessed OCS! Following printing and mailing expenses, sixty percent of these gifts ($16,400.00) made possible a new sound system in the gymnasium along with a few faculty desktop computers. With the sound system, there was additional help from a generous donation by DW Enterprises. And as always, a portion of the earnings from our annual Dinner and Auction event provided added funds ($15,600) to help us attain our goal.

The sound system with the awesome reverse screen/projector on stage has a motorized drop screen along with four headsets and two wireless mics. This has made a significant difference when holding presentations for the students, Drama Club productions, sporting events and more!

Thank you, thank you, thank you from all students and teachers! May God bless our Appeal 2019-2020 angels who were “victorious” in answering our prayers and making our goals a reality!
