How do I calculate the speed of an object?

• In order to calculate the speed of an object, do the following:– Measure the distance the object went.– Measure the time that the object went.– DIVIDE THE DISTANCE BY THE TIME!

Page 5: You WANT me to make a paper airplane??? A lesson in calculating the speed of an object

Example:Distance: 20 miles

Time: 4 hours

Speed = 20 miles ( 20 / 4 = 5 )

4 hours

The speed of this object is 5 miles per hour (mph).
