Hardware VM Execution is supported on the following Scale Computing systems:

32GB RAM / 4 CPU cores / node

1u dual power supply, redundant network available, 4 SATA or SAS drives per node

4 nodes to configure initial system, expand 2 matching nodes at a time

4 1GbE or 2 10GbE ports per node

M-Series Storage nodes* (Available now)

*It is recommended that customers with M-Series nodes purchased before Feb 2012 purchase a 32GB RAM upgrade kit (FRU-M $1500 MSRP per node)

HC3 System Overview:

Management time is cut dramatically. Servers, storage, and virtualization become one converged, integrated solution. Scale HC3 will be the easiest infrastructure you’ve ever managed.

Networking VM-based virtual NICs will be bridged to the public Ethernet interface on each node.

M1,M2,M4 and M12x, VMs will share access to a pair of bonded public 1Gb NICs.

M1z, M2z and M4z, VMs will share access to a single public 10Gb NIC.

Scalability Able to scale up to 8 nodes per cluster during betaperiod and initial production release.
