Dreams come true Edward Terror was born in 1989 in Los Angeles. His parents divorced when he was two and he lived with his mother and step-father. He was very angry about it, and his grandmother taught him how to be strong in such situation. She was the only person who Edward loved. His child-hood was really difficult. His classmates never understood him. And he was never very successful in school, but excelled in boxing.

All people thought he was normal boy, but he hid his problems inside his soul. However, he started having morbid dreams when he was 12, always revolving around killing women. In his dreams, he would punch their evil spirit and he usually fell off his bed.

These dreams slowly turned into reality when Edward started watching, stalking, and looking into the eyes of women to find evil. By the age of 15, he began hitting and choking them. Ultimately it wasn’t enough for him to hurt those women – he had to kill them. Time passed and it be-came a habit.

His appearance was not usual for a murderer. Edward was smart, cute, shy and well behaved boy. So, people couldn’t suspect him of any mur-ders.

After Edward Terror confessed to about 80 murders, the Los Angeles authorities refused to make a deal with him and got witnesses to come out and speak about a couple of murders.

Edward was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment.

As you can see, our 5-6 year olds had a great time during their morning parties in the ‘Kids Zone’ with songs, balloons, games and lots of great food!

There were also arties for 8-16 year olds. These students could wear any costume they liked, and some came as ‘snow queens’ or wore the Halloween costumes that they couldn’t use in October be-cause of the quarantine. After lots of party games in class-rooms, the students tucked into food and drink in the cafe . Prizes were finally given to the best dressed students!

Teaching Centre News, Events & tips:

• Registration for September courses for 8-16 year olds is from the 9th—12th of June

Hi! My name is Ilona. I was born in 1995 in Lviv, but I live in Kyiv now. I'm easy-going, modest, talkative and enter-taining. I like dances, theatre, cinema... I'd like to talk with everybody who would like to talk with me. I want to be an actress or director. I really like going to the British Council and I’m very pleased with it. I’ve been studying at BC for four years and I hope I’ll study there for some more years. What can I say about my presentation? I have made it about fridge because I thought that fridge is the thing that we use every hour and don’t think about how it works every time when we open it. I think that informa-tion in my presentation is very useful and interesting. I hope you will enjoy it! Love, DJLokis.

• Registration for September courses for 8-16 year olds is from the 9th—12th of June

My name is Marta Bilohub. I am 12 years old and go to the Inter-national Relations Lyceum n.51. I have been a student of The British Council in the group "Dogs" since the beginning of 2009. I was born in Ukraine, but because of my father's profession I have recently come back from Australia. I enjoy reading as well as spending time with my friends, listening to music, dancing, drawing, being outdoors, and sometimes horse riding. My hobbies are swimming, tennis, ka-rate, and travelling. I chose the topic iPod because I am crazy about music and I wouldn't be able to imagine my life without the iPod. This com-pact music player is very handy for long trips (which I endure of-ten), to have fun or to relax. I hope you will enjoy my presenta-tion as much as I enjoyed making it!

Presentation about Microwave ovens By Nadia Savchenko

YL Yearbook 2007—2010

From:

Teaching Centre News, Events & tips:

• Registration for September courses for 8-16 year olds is from the 9th—12th of June

Hi, my name is Nadia. I`m 12 years old. I`m a nice, clever and a kind girl. I`m a pupil of the 6th form. I`m keen on dancing and swim-ming. I like drawing, singing, cycling, iceskating and rollerblading very much, too. I`m fond of music and German language at school. In the future I want to be a psychologist or a vet. For my presentation I’ve chosen microwave oven be-cause earlier I heard a funny story that happened to the inventor of the microwave. After this story Percy Spencer, the inventor, decided to invent a machine that would preheat meal and other food. So, I`d already had the material and it wasn`t very difficult for me to write this presentation.
