Welcome back parents and friends!
We hope that everyone had a fantastic holiday break and we are ready to start the
new year in full swing. Below, we would like to go over a few of our guidelines to
ensure the safest and most effective environment for all of our children.
*School Age children must be dropped off no later than 7:00am
*Breakfast is strictly over at 7:30am including any food brought in.
*We suggest having your child present at the center by 8:00am so the older children
may partake during the circle time
*Our center operates from 6:00am to 6:30pm. Please be mindful when picking up
and drop off. We will incur a $1/minute fee for any pick ups after 6:35pm.
*We are a NUT FREE facility so please keep that in mind if you do provide a
snack or lunch for your child. Food brought from home must be accompanied by a
doctor’s note.
*Tuition for the current week must be paid in full by the end of business day on
Tuesday, otherwise, we will incur a $25 late fee on Wednesday morning and $10
each day after for any outstanding balances.
*Please make sure to check our front door and the lobby TVs for notifications on the
on-goings in the center.
*We will begin a file audit on all the children’s files. So please stay tuned to your
email for further information that we may need.

This month we will be learning all about what we can do! We will be exploring our surroundings and finding out that
we are more capable than we think. This month’s theme is “Competent Me”! Our color of this month is blue and our
shape is a circle. We will learn the nursery rhyme “Pat-A-Cake” and the song “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes”.
Our baby sign language is “Play”
Room 4 Teachers Ms. Angel, Ms. Lindsey, & Ms. Erika
Room 4’s theme for January is space. The children will focus on the color “Blue” and the shape “Star”. The children will
also be learning the baby sign for “Star”. This month’s rhyme is “Five Little Rockets”
and the song is “Mister Moon”.
Toddler Room 5: Ms. Natalie & Ms. Larrzarie
We are so excited to have all of our friends back after the break. We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and a
Happy New Year! We are looking forward to an awesome month. We have so many new things to share and learn
about with our friends. This month our themes are Weather and Seasons, Polar Animals and Magnets. We will be
introducing 3 new books this month, so be on the look out! Our Spanish and sign words are: weather, snow and
penguins. Remember to take your folders home everyday!
Room 6: Ms. Ja’Nell & Ms. Kay
Room 7: Ms. Shauna & Ms. Melissa
During the month of January, we will be learning about polar animals, the different seasons and magnets so be on the lookout for
some pretty cool experiments. Our alphabet letters this month are: Pp, Ll, and Jj. Also remember that homework starts back this
month.
Room 8 Ms. Aisha & Ms. Christi
January is a very fun month and room 8 is looking forward to learning all the new things it has to offer. Our theme for the month is
weather and seasons. We will be learning more about the four seasons and what the weather is will also focus on polar animals and
magnets. Room 8 will learn what a magnetic force is and how it is related to magnets. We will continue tracing and practicing forming letters.
The children are working very hard and have made a lot of progress. Please continue going over sight words so that they are being imple-
mented at home and school. Thank you!

Happy New Year and welcome back. Now that January is here, our workload is going to double. To make sure that your
child does not fall behind, please make sure that your child is in class by 8:30am everyday. Also, please make sure if
your child has “everyday homework” to make sure to incorporate the homework daily.
I hope everyone has enjoyed their holidays! For the month of January, we will be learning about Europe. For our character value, we will be going over
Diversity. We ask that you all encourage your child(ren) to complete their homework here at the Lighthouse. We also want to thank everyone that came out
to support Room 10 at the Christmas Program. All of the children did an excellent job!
