NARRATIVE-Technology over the years has begun to play an even more important role in the

classroom. It provides both teachers and students with more options and flexibility with teaching and learning. Teachers need to understand the importance of their technology in the classroom. It is important that teachers learn and understand about their technology in the classroom, so they can properly use the technology in the classroom to adequately teach the children what they need to know. Teachers also need to know what all is incorporated with the technology that is given them so they can use it to its full potential so students get optimal learning. It also looks good if the teacher understands how to use their technology in the classroom just in case if problems occur. Although most schools have a tech. person it would be even more efficient if you as a teacher understood so simpler problems that can occur and how to fix them. When technology is being bought for the classroom it is important to include teachers in the decision. This is because teachers know exactly what they need to have when it comes to the curriculum that they plan on teaching their students. Different lesson plans/ subjects may include different types of technology that needs to be used. If teachers are not included it could create problems not only in the classroom but also with the budget. If the teacher just not get all the equipment that he/she needs in order to teach the students, the students and the teacher lose out on learning to full potential. However, if too much technology is bought for the classroom then budgets not only for the classroom but other parts of the school can suffer.
