FRI 13 NOV Depart Australia for Auckland (Perth passengers will depart on Thursday 12th November)

Upon arrival into Auckland, you will be met by an AAT Kings Representative and transferred to the Langham Hotel, Auckland. Tonight we enjoy a Welcome Reception and dine at “Eight” a special and unique dining experience exclusive to the Langham and enjoyed by all our AAT Kings guests.

SAT 14 NOVRotoruaThis morning you will be transferred to the Air New Zealand collaboration centre for a special breakfast and presentation. After breakfast, we enjoy an Auckland City Sightseeing tour, including views of the Harbour Bridge, Viaduct Harbour and Bastian Point. Join us for a journey to Waiheke Island, renowned for its world class wineries, this island has something for everyone. Boasting a thriving local art scene, secluded sandy beaches and a range of adventure activities. We enjoy a wine tasting and platter lunch before returning to Auckland. This afternoon we follow the Waikato River, New Zealand’s longest river into the heart of Middle Earth – and visit Hobbiton. Home of the Hobbits and the scene for the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit movies. Enjoy a guided tour of the movie set followed by dinner and entertainment at the Green Dragon – let AAT Kings transport you to Middle Earth and the world of the Hobbits. Market stalls, food & wine, fire eaters – all part of this exclusive Hobbit experience.Later tonight, we continue to Rotorua and arrive late into our hotel.

SUN 15 NOVSanta BarbaraStart the day with breakfast hosted by Millennium Hotels & Resorts. Later this morning we enjoy the geo thermal delights of Te Puia as well as exploring the Rainbow Springs Nature Park where you will have a chance to feed local birds and animals and to see our native kiwi bird. Also an opportunity to meet “Kiwi Sam” – AAT Kings own conservation project! Enjoy lunch at the top of the Skyline followed by exciting luge rides to cap our day before continuing through to Auckland International Airport for your flight to America.Welcome to the City of Angels! Upon arrival into Los Angeles, wind your way up the coast to idyllic Santa Barbara, often billed as the ‘American Riviera’. This evening, enjoy a Welcome Reception.

MON 16 NOV Monterey Continue traveling up the coast until you arrive at La Cuesta Encantada, ‘The Enchanted high above the ocean at San Simeon, for a guided tour of Hearst Castle, the grandiose estate of publishing magnate William Randolph Hearst. A guide leads you through the property with and brings the story of the newspaper publisher to life. Enjoy an evening at leisure in charming Monterey.

TUE 17 NOVMontereyBegin your day by cruising scenic 17-Mile Drive, passing the famous Pebble Beach Golf Links and multi-million dollar mansions. This afternoon, head to picturesque Carmel-by-the-Sea, where you can browse the art galleries and shops on Ocean Avenue, before enjoying a customized food tour where you’ll learn about local flavour, culture, art, architecture and history. For your dining pleasure this evening, you are offered a selection of local restaurants to choose from.

WED 18 NOVYosemiteDrive through the Sierra Nevada Mountains the fertile San Joaquin Valley before arriving into Yosemite National Park. Explore the valley floor with its spectacular waterfalls, the imposing rock formations of El Capitan and Half Dome and abundant wildlife. Tonight, enjoy your hotel, located inside the park, close to North America’s highest waterfall.

THU 19 NOVLas VegasEnjoy the scenery as you leave Yosemite National Park and until you enter the Nevadan desert landscape. A complete change of scenery awaits you when you arrive in Las Vegas; a collection of bright lights and shopping malls, huge themed hotels of unbelievable design and the omnipresent slot machine. Enjoy a brief orientation tour before arriving into your hotel, which is a breath of fresh air – modern and luxurious.

FRI 20 NOVLas VegasEnjoy the morning at leisure to explore Las Vegas. This afternoon, depart with your Travel Director to one of the most famous Modern Marvels, the Hoover Dam. View the dam from the newly completed Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, the largest concrete arch bridge in the Western Hemisphere just completed in 2010. Stand 900 feet above the Colorado River and gaze in amazement at the largest dam of its time, that holds back the U.S.’s largest man made reservoir, Lake Mead. Enter the base of Hoover dam on a guided tour and hear the vibrating hums of rushing water and Hydroelectric Turbines. Next, visit one of Las Vegas’ newest attractions, The Mob Museum. This museum showcases both sides of the notorious battle between organized crime and law enforcement. With high-tech theatre presentations, iconic one-of-a-kind artifacts, and interactive exhibits, you can finally discover the whole truth and nothing but the truth. You’ll see the largest movie set street expansion in Hollywood history built with creative consultation by Steven Spielberg himself, and enjoy heart-pounding rides, shows and attractions that put you inside some of the world’s biggest movies.The evening will continue as you make your way to a secret CityWalk venue to share stories and experiences with our other TTC winners.Breakfast

SUN 22 NOVLos AngelesStart the day at your leisure and enjoy breakfast. You will have free-time in the morning to visit locations of your choice or relax in your room before embarking on a magical evening courtesy of Creative Holidays.

After lunch time, we will depart to experience the ultimate magical kingdom – the majestic Disneyland Park, where you can sail with pirates, explore exotic jungles, meet fairy-tale princesses, dive under the ocean and rocket through the stars—all in the same day! Disneyland Park is a beloved destination where generations have made their Disney dreams come true.
