Implementation Best Practices

Implementation Best Practices• Provisioned Environments use English as the default language. Raise SR to

get the language packs

• When first assigned, test and production environments are assigned a default sizing.

• Review MOS Doc ID 1385107.1 “Best Practices for Client and Browser Settings for Fusion Applications”

• Check if all users, other than implementation users, should be created as employees first

• Using Rapid Implementation tasks and associated spreadsheet templates (where available) saves on manual data entry effort and can expedite your configuration process.

Implementation Best Practices• You need to plan ahead when scheduling a P2T refresh to avoid delaying your

implementation by requesting your P2T refresh via a SR at least 4 weeks ahead of time. Both environments should be at the same patch level. The process requires no downtime for your production environment but your test environment will be down for at least one day.

• If you have refreshed data from your production environment to your test environment be aware that real email addresses of suppliers and employees will be migrated to the test environment.

• Use Rapid Implementation Spreadsheets and File Based Data Import files to track the master configuration and master content to be loaded into your production environment, and keep the master configuration and content up-to-date as a result of your prior test cycles.

Implementation Best Practices

• All inbound and outbound file flows leverage Universal Content Management (UCM), refer to My Oracle Support article “How to transfer the data file to the integrated content management server. (Doc ID 1584415.1).

• Only seeded BI Publisher XML extracts which come with seeded report templates can be used to create new report templates. You cannot create new BI Publisher XML extracts in an Oracle Financials Cloud environment.
