    HeritageLike the Great Wall of China and the Pyramids ofGiza, Liverpool is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.Its impressive waterfront in addition to other areasof the city centre qualied the city for this statusin 2004. The site stretches along the waterfront fromAlbert Dock, which alone has the largest collectionof Grade I listed buildings in the UK, throughthe Pier Head and up to Stanley Dock. It alsoencompasses the Commercial District, RopeWalksand the Cultural Quarter.

    Stroll around Albert Dock to drink in some of thehistory then take a trip across the Mersey on oneof the rivers famous ferries to see the awe inspiringview of Liverpool Waterfront, one of the mostrecognised waterfronts in the world.

    Liverpool has a unique mix of contemporary andclassic architecture too. Theres the soaring GothicRevival Liverpool Cathedral, the biggest AnglicanCathedral in the UK a climb to the top of the tower

    MuseumsLiverpool has one of the most impressive collectionsof museums outside of London. Most exciting of allfor 2011 is the opening of the new Museum ofLiverpool in the Summer.
