Your next travel destination must be here! Cancun and Isla Mujeres.

If you are the adventurous type or just in search for something amazing, this place is where you need to go right away! Forget about Bora Bora, Maldives, Dubai and other already outdated destinations.

Underwater museum of art (Museo Subacuatico de Arte) or MUSA is the place for you! The underwater museum is located on the Mexican Caribbean Sea, in Cancun and Isla Mujeres. It was founded in 2009 by Dr. Jaime Gonzalez Cano, director of West Coast National Park of Isla Mujeres, Punta Cancun and Punta Nizuc and Abraham Roberto Díaz, former president of the Cancun Nautical Associates (ANC).

There, you can discover the most fascinating underwater museum in the world. At the bottom of the water, 400 statues of the English artist Jason

DeCaires Taylor have been set, to the delight of divers, as well as works of Mexican artists.

The sculptural works are conceptualized ecologically from all points of view: the materials they are made from, the implementation of these stocks on the seabed and how visitors should tour the museum.

The sculptures are made alkaline cement, glass fiber on which ecological substances were added, they can be largely inhabited by underwater local wildlife, that will change the appearance of these statues over time.

Below we will let you discover some photos from this magical place where we are sure you would love to dive. You can hardly find a better place where you can both "visit" and "swim" altogether.

Alternatively you can still visit the website of the artist Jason DeCaires Taylor to see more statues or visit the museum website Musa (Museo de Arte subaqueous) for information visits.
