Can You Afford Not to Know?
• How are employees using company vehicles?
• How much overtime is wasted on lost drivers?
• When is vehicle maintenance due?
• Are company vehicles being used for “other” purposes?
• Are you losing customers by being inefficient?
• Are deliveries and service calls being completed in the
most time-efficient manner?
• Are you not benefiting from the latest technologies?
• Are you missing easy ways to „go green‟?

Proven Results
• Increased Employee Productivity – The Fleetronix .Net web-hosted application is accessible via
any internet connected computer enabling real-time monitoring of mobile assets. This allows for
dispatching vehicles that are closet to the job, provides a virtual time clock, and alerts to conditions
such as a speeding and specified boundary entrances-departures.
• Reduced Overtime – The application provides start and stop reports for when a vehicle arrives and
leaves from a job site, office, etc.
• Reduced Fuel Costs – The application will provide idle alerts set at certain intervals to alert when an
vehicle’s engine has been running idle. Routes are optimized and dispatched directly to drivers which
reduces miles driven and gas receipts can be reconciled to a vehicle’s position report.
• Increased Safety – Monitor vehicles’ speeds and be alerted when a vehicle exceeds a customizable
threshold. Reduce insurance claims by proving where a vehicle was – or was not – for any date/time.
• Reduced Maintenance Costs – Optimizing routes taken, limit employee moonlighting, reduce
engine idling, and better manage vehicle maintenance schedules with the Fleetronix Vehicle
Maintenance module.
• Increased Customer Satisfaction – Achieve more accurate service billing and appointment
promptness. Ensure and track deliveries and shipments with accurate times of arrival.

Be Ahead of the Curve
“Although the fleet-tracking industry is about 10
years old, it's predicted that the industry will
experience dynamic growth over the next two to
three years. As fleet tracking providers increase in
size and reach more businesses with fleets, industry
sources report that by 2010, there will be 17 million
subscribers in the industry.”

ROI Example
The following is an example of calculations based on 30 Drivers. Estimates are based on
industry statistics and from customer feedback.
Expense Description
Monthly Salary Estimate Total Expense Expense Savings
(assuming $20.00 / hour @ 40 hrs / week X 30 drivers) $102,720.00 4.20% $4,314.24
Monthly Overtime Estimates Total Expense Expense Savings
(assuming 4 hours per driver per week @ $30 / hr) $15,408.00 10.00% $1,540.80
Monthly Vehicle Expenses Total Expense Expense Savings
(assuming $500 per month per vehicle) $15,000.00 1.50% $225.00
Monthly Fuel Expense Total Expense Expense Savings
(assuming $530.00 per month per vehicle) $15,900.00 10.00% $1,590.00
Monthly Maintenance costs Total Expense Expense Savings
(assuming $66.67 per month per vehicle) $3,000.00 9.50% $285.00
Overall Estimated Gain: $7,955.04 Per Month!

ROI Example Summary
Percentages from this calculation are gathered from our clients and from industry surveys.
These percentages are conservative and your return my be much higher.
For example:
• The 4.2 % reduction in monthly salary expense is based on increasing
employee productivity by only 20 minutes per day. In addition, this rate
will be exponentially higher if said employee is in charge of other workers.
• Fuel savings will be at considerably higher savings if employee
moonlighting is an issue. Also, any un-authorized fueling of non-company
vehicles will be eliminated entirely.
• Risk Management: Overall company liability is reduced by monitoring
current positions and especially speed. Vehicle theft is no longer a threat to
insurance premiums.

Pays for Itself
Industry Study
Nearly 50 percent of businesses using GPS technologies cite a reduction in travel distance by an average
of 231.2 miles per week, saving $51,582 in annual fuel savings. That is according to a Motorola, Inc.,
survey of those in the transportation, manufacturing, and trucking/warehousing industries.
The study, commissioned by Motorola, also revealed that employees of businesses deploying GPS-
enabled technologies saved approximately 54 minutes per day, realizing annual labor savings of $5,484
per employee, or $5.4 million per surveyed enterprise. Survey respondents also credited location-based
services with improving the organization of employee routes.
Surveyed enterprises indicated GPS technology enables mobile workers to spend less time in traffic or
finding routes, while increasing the amount of time spent with customers. When asked why they would
consider investing in GPS or other new technologies, those surveyed cited customer service as the
number-one priority, Motorola said.
The survey also identified other key applications, namely navigation for improved on-time performance
and route optimization. These functions address mobile workers' difficulties in locating new stops during
the course of their shift and also serve to streamline deliveries, respondents said.

Necessary Solutions
Industry Analysis
If your franchisees use vehicles to deliver services or products, consider how much more efficient and
effective that business could be if they could ride in the passenger seat of each vehicle every day.
When responding to this imaginary situation, the typical answer is "I'd save fuel costs and payroll,
increase productivity, and make more deliveries and service calls." In fact, a recent study of the fleet
tracking industry by the Aberdeen Group, a market research firm that focuses on the global-technology
industry, reports that companies with fleet tracking systems saved on average: 18.5% in fuel costs, 9.9%
in overtime usage and 16.1% in maintenance costs. When asked if fleet management was important, very
important or extremely important to the company's operational and financial performance, 82% said
"yes."
Today, thousands of companies that use their vehicles to provide products and services use global
positioning systems' fleet tracking to increase profitability. Just five years ago, global positioning system
tracking was not widely implemented. Today, many business owners have a friend or business associate
who can address the benefits of tracking vehicles with GPS or are using the technology themselves to
improve productivity. GPS technology has become better known due to in-vehicle automobile navigation
devices such as OnStar, Garmin and Magellan units.
