LIMA - CUSCOAfter a buffet breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Here you will be met and taken to your hotel. The city is at an elevation of around 3,400m (11,200ft), which may cause you to experience some shortness of breath on exertion. Make sure you stay well hydrated to assist with the acclimatisation process.

City tour & ruinsToday, we visit the amazing colonial city built on the foundations of the Inca palaces.

Cuzco was the capital of the Inca Empire (13th century-1532) and many believe that the city was planned as an effigy in the shape of a puma, a sacred animal. According to Inca legend, the city was built by Sapa Inca Pachacuti, the man

who transformed the Kingdom of Cuzco from a sleepy city-state into the vast empire of Tahuantinsuyu.

Visit the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, to appreciate the incredible masonry of the Incas, the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral with its carved woodwork, altars and paintings.

Then, you are driven to the Inca fortress of Sacsahuamán. Explore the underground cave and temple of Kenko which has fantastic panoramic views. Visit Tambomachay, known as

the Baths of the Inca. Finally, we stop at the living art workshop “Inka´s Expression”. Admire the local artisans creating wonderful silver pieces, paintings and wood carvings.

CUSCOAfter a buffet breakfast you are taken to the train station for the scenic journey on the Vistadome train to the infamous city of Machu Picchu.

Arrive at the Aguas Calientes Station in Machu-Picchu where you are transported by bus to the top of the mountain and citadel of Machu-Picchu. This is one of the most renowned examples of Inca architecture, surrounded by lush cloud forest. Lost in history, it was not rediscovered until 1911 by the American explorer Hiram Bingham.

After building up an appetite on a guided visit of the ruins, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, before returning to Cusco by train.

CUSCO - CHOCCO - CUSCOAfter a delicious breakfast, you leave the hotel and travel 12Km (30 minutes) from Cusco to the village of Chocco. This is where you have an opportunity to make a big difference and begin your immersion into the local culture.

Unfortunately in this community, many people are in great need of help with the means to provide education and at times even food for their children.

Meet the local representatives who will coordinate the volunteer activities and show you around the area to get you familiar with the location.

Assist at a local school where you will help to improve the educational environment for children. You will be organised into small teams and given time sensitive refurbishment tasks to perform.

After working alongside local people enjoy lunch in the community (lunch box).

Day 5: (B,L,-)

CUSCO - CHOCCO - CUSCOContinue with your refurbishment activities such as painting or cleaning, while some can start changing the roof on some of the school rooms. Stopping the leaks and clean bright new walls will provide a far more congenial environment for studying!

You will have deserved your lunch (lunch box) and will no doubt have made new friends to share in the experience.

Day 6: (B,L,-)

CUSCO - CHOCCO - CUSCOAfter repairing the leeks and painting the walls of the class rooms it is time to get to work in the kitchen and dining area. Your funds will help to provide stove, pots, mugs, etc, whilst your refurbishment efforts will go toward making it a more pleasant place to eat.

After lunch (lunch box), you will assist with the installation of gutters to collect the rain water to reduce the amount of mud the children must trudge through and assist with the sustainability of the structure.

Later in the afternoon, you return to Cusco to rest or explore at your leisure. Overnight stay at Casa Andina Private Collection Cusco.

Day 7: (B,L,-)

CUSCO - CHOCCO - CUSCOToday, you finish your activities and hand over your work to the children in a special ceremony. It is your opportunity for you to play with children and spend a wonderful day with the youths that will be benefiting from your generous assistance.

Following lunch (lunch box), return to the hotel, after having shared an unforgettable and memorable experience in this little part of the Peruvian Andes.
















































































Day 8: (B,-,-)

CUSCOToday is free at leisure. You may choose to go white-water rafting, do a day hike, go mountain biking, shopping, or explore some of Cusco’s fine museums.


Day 9: (B,L,-)

CUSCOEarly in the morning, following a buffet breakfast you are transferred to Ollantaytambo, an Inca vestige that was a military, religious and agricultural centre.

At the top of the mountain you will discover a fortress designed to protect the valley from invaders. The view of Ollantaytambo from this location is overwhelming; narrow streets and water channels are still used by the locals.

After lunch at a local restaurant, we continue on to Pisac, a beautiful town famous for its traditional handicraft market, full of colour and tradition.
