New foresight method and time paradigm

The main element in the Andean cosmovision is the understanding of the whole. It is the complex concept of Pacha, translated by some as earth (mother earth: pachamama), but it is broad and systemic. It represents the invisible unity of time and space in eternal movement and it is inserted in the otherness and life of our Andean ancestors.

Pacha is the everything in constant movement. It is the cosmos in its infinite becoming. The concept Pacha refers to is part of the Andean trilogies of space-time. Kay Pacha, the here and now, is the planet earth with its humans, animals and plants. Hanaq Pacha is the future or the world above where the solar system, the moon and the stars exist. Ukhu Pacha is the world below and is the roots of our ancestry and the past, where the dead, memories and the spirits live.

Circular method in the Andean utopia, the future is on your back, the past is in front of you and your permanently doing things, active the memory so that the future is better, through remembering the deepest past.

Living Well or Good Living (Suma qamaña or Sumak Kawsay in Aymara or Quechua) is interpreted as a mandate of nature to nature especially to the human being, from the “pacha centric” rather than the anthropo centric thinking, involving circular thinking of all and all depending on life. Being able to summarize how to live in fullness, knowing how to live in harmony with the cycles of Mother Earth, of the cosmos, of life and of history, and in balance with all forms of existence in permanent respect. This prospect of Good Living that is not long term, but, of all times forever, seeks to be an icon of the Andean utopia, insofar as it is a continuous pursuit of natural balance, human inclusion and spirituality. The Good Living (Sumaq qamaña or Suma Kawsay) its representation is opposed to the concept of Development as it has been used in the occidental culture, having a Pachacentric view, where based on the triad we propose should be the basis of futures studies from the Andean attitude of ordering thought: 1) Listen before speaking, 2) say what is known and 3) endorse words with acts.

CIRCULAR FORESIGHT METHOD QHIP NAYRA

The methodological process is pertinent, itinerant and reiterative. This circular foresight method of Qhip Nayra is a "planning at ininfinitum“. It starts with the mandate, with the problematic and transcendent focus. From the structure the factors and actors of change, shaping and delimiting the system to prospect. This is the point of a deep and broad questioning to determine who we are, where we come from and where we are. This way, we will be able to highlight the capabilities we have built and with them we can attract in a key way. This deep look of the past from our actions in the present allows us to see future possibilities that respond to the possible direction of our events and how to obtain what can happen. This first iteration is completed with the Futurable (possible, probable and preferred future), the obtaining of the preferred within the possible and the probable future in the form of scenarios. Thus, to propose the orientation to act strategically according to the focused mandate.

The Quip Nayra is the Andean reconstructed method for the Vision of the road as an autochthonous knowledge and principle of the own or "Jiswapacha".

This integrality generates a great difference between the linear thought of the present and future past, where it is always lost in the end and the circular thought that is always built in the future, generating options for the future and the present.
