Alton House HotelLocated on the edge of the market town of Alton and in the heart of Jane Austen country, Alton House Hotel offers well-kept colourful gardens which make the perfect backdrop for photographs.

Alton House Hotel is a three star, grade II listed hotel of Georgian origin with a choice of superb function suites.

Elegant yet welcoming, coupled with excellent food and service.

Civil CeremonyPemberley 2 is licensed for up to 90 guests. The room will be set with seating for all your guests, a red carpet will be in place down the centre aisle allowing a formal entrance.

The adjacent Pemberley 1 is available for the Registrar’s interview.

The choice of music and decoration of the room is your decision and we are happy to help you by recommending pianists, string quartets, harpists or florists to make your ceremony unique.

Garden CeremonyEnjoy your civil ceremony outdoors in our purpose built, beautiful gazebo set within the well established hotel gardens.

A red carpet is set down the centre of the garden to create a classical aisle way.

Function RoomsThe Pemberley SuiteThe traditionally decorated Pemberley Suite comprises of two rooms located at the front of the hotel. Pemberley 1 leads into Pemberley 2. Pemberley 2 also enjoys a separate entrance direct from the car park.

Pemberley 1 is often used as a welcoming area or buffet area. It is also used for private dining for up to 16 guests.

Pemberley 2 has space for up to 60 guests formally and 100 informally. There is a concealed dance floor perfect for party use.

Pemberley 2 is air conditioned and licensed for civil ceremonies for up to 90 guests.

The Banquet SuiteOur main wedding breakfast room comfortably seats up to 120 guests formally and 180 guests informally.

The suite is fully air conditioned and has a concealed dance floor.

Although fully contained within the hotel building the Banquet Suite has it’s own private entrance, bar and lounge area as well as restroom facilities.

The suite looks onto the garden area. Guests have full access to the patio and garden area.

AccommodationAlton House Hotel has 43 superb en-suite bedrooms with Freeview televisions, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, telephone and complimentary wi-fi in rooms and throughout the hotel.

Larger rooms are available for families and extra beds and cots are available for children.

Many guests arrive the night before the wedding and stay for a special breakfast the morning after. A fun way to get together and share experiences of the happy occasion.

Alton House Hotel offers the bridal couple a complimentary four poster or feature room for the wedding night.

Pre-wedding DinnerThe night before the big day, relax with family and friends over dinner and stay the night to awaken refreshed at the venue for the magical day ahead, subject to availability.
