2015/2016 Civil Ceremonies - At Hilton Swindon

The Hilton Swindon is licensed to hold Civil Marriage Ceremonies of up to 150 guests.

The charges for the room if not included in a package, in addition to the Registrars fees, is

Avebury Room (80), Kennet Room (80) & Wyvern Foyer (150) - £465.00 Training Room B (50), Training Room D (60) & The Breakout Area (70) - £295.00

This rate is inclusive of a Flower Arrangement for the Registration Table

Civil Ceremony - Procedures

1. You’ll have to give notice to the Superintendent Registrar of the district of the hotel

2. Check that the registrar is free on your preferred date and time before you book anything.

5. If you are getting married in a different district, both the bride and the groom will also have to

register in person in the district they are living in

6. From the moment you have given notice to the local registrars, you’ll have to wait till the 16th day to get married and the notice will then be valid for 1 year

7. Give the registrar the contact details of the hotel and your wedding adviser (just ask the wedding

adviser for an additional business card)

Fabulous Food & Drink to Remember Our chefs offer a superb choice of menus but above all, we promise flexibility. If you have a passion

for a particular food, we’ll make sure it’s on the menu and help you select the right wines to accompany each course. Once decided, we can also arrange a menu tasting and rehearsal.

To make it easier for you we have put together a selection of drinks packages our Bride and Grooms traditionally select. We are more than happy to create your own specific package tailored to your

individual needs from our superb wines, Champagnes and reception drinks.

Make a Night of it

Your guests can indulge themselves in one of our contemporary bedrooms at a discounted rate. Take advantage of our late breakfast served until 11.00am and a late check out at 1.00pm.

A number of bedrooms will be allocated at a special rate for your guests to book.

We are delighted to offer special accommodation rates for guests who wish to stay. These rates are subject to availability and require full pre payment. Please also note that pre paid bookings are non-

transferrable and non-refundable.

*Upgrades are available at a supplement Children may share their parents rooms free of charge. All meals and drinks will be charged as taken

All our rates include Full English breakfast and full use of the Livingwell Health Club which includes an air conditioned gymnasium, heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and bubble pool.


How to Book

Once you have received our brochure we hope you will be interested in viewing the hotel and our facilities. We would love to meet you over a cup of tea or coffee, discuss your ideas

and to show you what we can offer.

Please contact the office to arrange a mutually convenient time to meet. The office is open Monday – Friday 8am – 6pm but appointments outside these hours can be made by prior arrangement.

Once you have decided on a date for your wedding, we can provisionally hold the space for 14 days without any commitment. Once you are ready to confirm, a non-refundable deposit from £500.00

will be required to secure the date. After that your 2nd payment of 50% of the estimated outstanding costs is required just 3 months prior to the wedding date.

Final balance is due 2 weeks prior with your final catering numbers.

Once the initial deposit is paid, we will issue the function sheet outlining the arrangements made to date. At this stage, there are usually a lot of things “to be advised” but this is only natural. Once you have received the paperwork please read the details carefully before signing, returning one copy to

us by the agreed date. The second copy is for your records. The arrangements for the day can be discussed at any time once the contract has been signed.

We would recommend an appointment together around 3 months before the wedding date to

update details but this can be done as soon as you are ready - we will work around your schedule.
