ABOUT AAU
LICENSES AND ACCREDITATIONS
Established in 2004, Al Ain University (AAU) opened the doors to its first student cohort in 2005. Constantly innovating, AAU expanded its facilities by opening a second campus in Abu Dhabi in 2008, offering programs in Business and Law. Having begun with three colleges (Engineering, Business, Education, Humanities and Social Sciences), the University has continued to expand its program offerings which now include 16 undergraduate programs across 6 colleges (Engineering, Pharmacy, Law, Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Business and Communication and Media, and 8 Master’s programs, as well as a Professional Diploma in Teaching.
AAU is licensed to operate under the auspices of the UAE Ministry of Education (MoE). AAU continues to successfully seek international accreditation of its programs by respected educational bodies. The College of Engineering is accredited by the US-based Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). The University’s Bachelor of Pharmacy program has the distinction of being the first in the UAE to be granted International Certification by the prestigious Accreditation Council of Pharmacy Education (ACPE) in the US. Whilst the University’s Bachelor of Law program received accreditation from the Supreme Council for Evaluation, Research and Higher Education (HCERES) in France, and the college of Communication and Media is accreditated by Agecny for Quality Assurance by Accreditation of study Programs (AQAS).

Al Ain Campus Abu Dhabi Campus
AAU’s Al Ain campus is conveniently located in the heart of Al Ain city. Fully equipped with auditoriums, peaceful classrooms, modern scientific laboratories and an extensive reference library, the campus offers everything required to meet the academic needs of its student community. Students can also enjoy a number of recreational facilities designed to meet their social and athletic needs, including; a gym, health club, mosque, cafeteria and student lounges. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus.
Easily accessible, yet away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, AAU’s Abu Dhabi campus is located in Mohammed bin Zayed City. Conditional Admission Requirements for Graduate Program A student may be granted conditional admission to the Master of Science in Clinical Pharmacy in the following cases:
If a student scored (530 in TOEFL ITP) or has an equivalent, s/he will be granted a conditional admission, provided that s/he: Obtains at least a score of (550 in TOEFL) or (6 in IELTS) by the end of the first term of joining the program. Registers for no more than (6) credit hours in the first term of joining the program. Obtains a GPA of no less than (3 out of 4) in the first six credit hours of the approved program.
If a student obtains a Bachelor's degree with a GPA between (2 and 2.99 out of 4) or its equivalent and meets the conditions of the English Language proficiency requirements as set out above, s/he can advance to the program, provided that the student:
Registers in the first semester of joining the program with no more than (9) credit hours. Obtains a GPA of (3 out of 4) in the first (9)hours of the approved program.

program, taking into account the following condition: Taking (4) prerequisite courses as specified by a department, and can only be exempted from all remedial materials

EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT CENTERS
The Center is committed to providing general and specialized training programs that meet the actual training needs of the community, in addition to the preparatory programs for professional and international examinations and a range of university entrance examinations.
The bookshop provides students with a convenient location to purchase the books and other materials (such as stationary) required for their university courses.
The English Language Center at the University helps students to improve their English in a fun and educational setting. Centre faculty members work to ensure Centre courses are accessible by taking individual differences and diversities into account in an attractive learning environment.
The Moot court is a simulation of a real court which deals with both civil and criminal matters, and is conducted in a classroom set up as a court. Appropriate test cases are chosen carefully, with students being asked to perform different judicial roles (judges, prosecutors, defense ... etc.) and evaluated accordingly.

Alumni Affairs
The Deanship of Student Affairs works to enable positive and professional communication between AAU and its graduates and amongst AAU alumni. The Deanship maintains ties with a range of institutions, in order to identify new employment opportunities available to AAU graduates.

The University provides health services for its students through the on-campus Health Care Clinic, which offers nursing care and basic emergency care.
Psychological and Social Counseling
