Past wanderers have canoed northern Saskatchewan rivers and ridden horses through Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park. One past wanderer met The Sheepdogs. The Ministries of Parks, Culture and Sport, Agriculture, Economy and Tourism Saskatch-ewan announced today that the government wants the next Saskatchewanderer to travel the province all year long to discover not only what makes Saskatchewan a great place to play in the summertime, but what makes the province a
great place to live, work and play all year round. This expanded Saskatchewanderer position is a pilot project and is a partnership between the three ministries and the Crown corporation. The Saskatchewanderer will shoot and edit YouTube video blogs, write blogs for the Wan-derer’s website, and upload content to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with the enhanced man-date in mind. “Saskatchewan is growing,” Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Kevin Doherty said. “Our pop-ulation is the highest it has ever been and our economy is thriving. That’s why it’s the perfect time to have the Saskatchewanderer, a well-rec-ognized provincial ambassador, show off Sas-katchewan to not only potential visitors, but potential residents. People are choosing to do more than visit Saskatchewan; they’re choosing to stay.” “Agriculture is an important piece of Saskatch-

ewan’s identity and key to our continued growth,” Agriculture Minister Lyle Stewart said. “It provides opportunities for young people in many different careers, many not traditionally associated with ag-riculture. Being a part of the Saskatchewanderer program is an opportunity for the agriculture in-dustry to be seen for what it really is - a progressive, vibrant industry. It also allows us to tell the com-
plete Saskatchewan story, that this is a province of opportunity with a great quality of life.”“Tourism Saskatchewan is excited to be a part of this very successful program,” Tourism Saskatchewan CEO Pat Fiacco said. “As a partnership between our organization and the Ministries of the Economy, Agriculture and Parks, Culture and Sport, the lead-ership and resources are in place for this program to have a greater impact and bring profile to Sas-katchewan in a way that is entertaining, innovative and captures the interest of people seeking new op-portunities and adventures. The Saskatchewander-er is a terrific ambassador for our province. Again, we are pleased to contribute to this initiative that showcases Saskatchewan’s remarkable character, spirit, quality of life and all there is to see and do.” Interested candidates can apply at www.saskatch-ewanderer.ca. Applications open November 4 at noon and close December 2 at noon. Interviews will take place in December. The successful candi-date will start wandering in January 2014. Bennett Dunlop Ford and CAA Saskatchewan have sponsored the Saskatchewanderer since its inception in 2011 and will continue to sponsor the expanded project. Past Saskatchewanderers include Andrew Konoff (2011), Jeff Stock (2012) and Caitlin Taylor (2013).To view Caitlin’s final highlight video, visit www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWcaXZFLeqc.

After a hard day of drilling, the drill sergeant let the
troops go. “All right, you id-iots, report to the mess hall.”
Everybody walked away, sweating and their heads
down, thankful for the end of the hard day. Only one
private remained. He looked at the officer and sincerely
said, “Boy, there sure were a lot of them, huh, serge.”

A married woman has a lover. It’s no secret, her husband and all there friends know about it. One day, the woman sud-denly dies. At the funeral, to the embarrassment of all, the
boyfriend is there and is crying hysterically. Finally, the hus-band can’t take anymore of it. He approaches the man, puts his arms around him and says “Please don’t carry on like this.
I’ll marry again.

CARD OF THANKSThank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who sup-ported us and helped us prepare for our wedding. Special thanks to my son Lance Charles, Morris and Shirley Stevenson, Kevin Gardner, Emma Howick and Lil Gardner as well as Orly Rodriguez, the Hunters and Michelle Erickson for making our ceremony extra special. Thank you to Father Mock and Cindy Nelson for everything at the catholic church. Thank you to our wedding party - you all were so loving and awesome. Thank you to Nicole Couture for the gorgeous wedding cake and crabap-ple jelly to give away, Hugh Ryder for wrangling horses and dogs for pics, Kevin and Lindsay Cherpin and your awesome children Colter and Sheridan who were our ring security and flower girl and the team and carriage, and Justine McLean who was a junior flower girl. Thanks to Cindy Whyte and Val at Browzers and Laura Kornfeld for decorating the hall and doing the flowers. A great big thanks to the caterers Chris Cragg and team - wow what a meal. To our bartenders Jamie Mercer and Bonnie Lingenfelter and Leann Hoffath for an amazing midnight supper above and beyond the call of duty... you are all amazing! We are so blessed to have such great friends and family - there are not enough thank you’s in the world to show you our grati-tude. We felt blessed to have you all there to share our day. Thank you for the special gifts we received - but the best gift of all was the folks that took the time to come and see us get married and share a meal with us. We really felt loved and were so happy to share the best day of our lives with you all - it meant everything to us! Harvey & Jamie Gardner. 41145637/28OC-1w/01NOp
