JUNIOR HIGH/SENIOR HIGH
SUNDAY COOL for all 7th -12th graders is at 9:45 am in the Youth Room with Calvin and Kai. Follow the waffle scent!
Today! FLEECE BLANKET TYING – 12:30-3:00 pm. All 5th-12th grade youth & their families are welcome. The blankets will be donated to the CAPA (Childbirth and Parenting Assistance) program at Catholic Charities. There will be pizza!
NEW! WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNER & WORSHIP – Wednesday nights in November from 6:00-7:30 pm. Come for a simple meal, fellowship, and a youth oriented worship time. Bring your ideas for worship on November 6th! This is for all 5th-12th grade youth.
SENIOR HIGH
WESTERN STATES YOUTH GATHERING summer trip 2020! All current 8th-12th graders are eligible. Deposits are due NOW! Talk with Susan if you have questions. More details are on the Youth Board.
LOCK-IN, November 15-16. Starts at 5 pm on Friday and ends at 9:00 on Saturday. Bring $15 and a sleeping bag. Sign-up on Youth Board. Permission slip required.

WELCOME VISITORS! It is a pleasure to have you worship with us
today. Please fill out a worship attendance card located in the pew and place it in the offering plate. All are welcome to the Lord’s Table for communion. For more information about St. Mark’s, go to our website stmarks-spokane.org or you may pick up a brochure in the narthex.
Large print worship folders, loaner reading glasses, and hearing
devices (our facility is equipped with a hearing assistance system) are available in the narthex. Gluten-free wafers are available on a small table by the communion rail.
Busy Bags for kids during worship: Young children may pick up a
“busy bag” from the yellow poles in the narthex. Please return the bag after worship to the basket under the poles. Worship bulletins are also available for older children who are pre-readers or readers.
Our Nursery, open during worship times for children age infant up to
kindergarten, is at the top of the stairs on the right. Pagers are available for parents. Please, no food in the nursery.
Alleluia Choir is today at 8:30 am in the choir room for 1st-6th

Godly Play Sunday School: Grades 1st—3rd meet upstairs in the
classroom next to the nursery. Ages 3 year old—Kindergarten and
4th—6th grade meet in the upstairs classrooms in the Parish House. Classes are from 9:45 to 10:35 am. Register online at stmarks-spokane.org/youth/godly-play-sunday-school.
Adult Forum is today at 9:45 am in the conference room. Today’s
forum is Vocation Engagement part 1.
Raffle items and silent auction baskets are now on display in the
narthex. Take time to take a look, buy a raffle ticket, or make a bid on a basket. It’s just another way to support the annual fall bazaar! Final bids are today at noon.
THIS WEEK
Scripture and Coffee is Tuesday, November 5, at 10:30 am in the
conference room. This group meets for a Bible-based conversation with one of the pastors to study the scripture texts for the following Sunday. This week’s readings are Job 19:23-27a, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-5; 13-17 & Luke 20:27-38.
Eat, Pray, Laugh will meet on Tuesday, November 5, at 7:00 pm in
the Parish House. All women are invited to this women’s fellowship group for food with conversation, laughter, and prayer.
A Women’s AA group meets every Wednesday at 6:30 am in the
conference room. Contact Angela at 981-5608 for more information.
Thursday Evening Bible Study with Pastor Edwin is November 7
from 6:00-7:00 pm. We’ll be diving into the first two books of the Bible, Genesis and Exodus. Join us to deepen your understanding of these major stories. Thursday’s class is Exodus: The Plagues II & Out of Egypt.
Chancel Choir practice is on Thursday, November 7, at 7:15 pm in
the music room. We would love to have you! Contact Debbie Hansen at 710-1334 if you are interested in singing in the choir.
Walking Circle is on Friday, November 8, at 11:00 am. The group
will meet for a luncheon at Mary Haberman’s home (4206 S Abbott Road). A group is carpooling from the church at 10:30 am. All women are welcome. Contact Martha Harvie 279-3599 with questions.
Fall Clean-up Part 2: Thank you to everyone who helped with the
last yard clean-up.. We had a great turn out and got a lot done, but there is still so much to do! We have another clean-up day scheduled for Saturday, November 9, from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. Snacks will be provided!
Office Closure: The office will be closed Monday, November 11, in
observance of Veterans Day.

SPEAR Needs: Our friends in the East Central neighborhood have
some specific needs at this time. Their food pantry is almost empty. They could use:

Canned Soup, especially with meat

Ramen Noodle soup
Mac ‘N Cheese
Thanksgiving is several weeks away and we want the youth and families to get the food they need now. Thank you to everyone who is able to help. Turkey Treating for SPEAR- St. Mark’s is collecting food for the families of the SPEAR program in lower East Central Spokane. We have been asked to provide Thanksgiving meals for 15 families. Bring your items to St. Mark’s by November 24th for delivery to SPEAR. Look for the collection bin in the narthex. Questions? Contact Susan Hagen at 747-6677. Sheryl at SPEAR has plenty of stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, yams and other fruits & vegetables. Here is what is needed to complete their meals:
