Youth Fashion SubculturesFor my music video, I would like to explore several aspects of youth culture, namely the more indie side of fashion. With my artist being a female soloist, this would incorporate things such as vintage or retro clothing, interesting hairstyles and make-up choices, as well as a consideration of settings to correspond with the aesthetics of the subject, such as pubs, clubs and bars (typical settings for indie-style gigs) or more natural, rural settings for a more ‘festival-like’ feeling. Such aspects are much better explained through exemplary images.

I also really like the idea of shooting the video entirely in black and white, because I think this creates a much more artistic, stylised atmosphere, as well as highlighting simpler features of the film such as lighting and shadow. It is also reminiscent of older videos and films, which creates a nostalgic, vintage feel.
