Please can you ensure that your child completes their

Education City homework each week. If you don’t

have access to a computer at home let me know and I

will arrange for your child to do it at school. If you

need the log in details reissued, please just ask.

Sex and Relationship

Education ‘SRE’

This term we will be introducing

SRE to the children. The unit for

Reception has been divided into 4topics. These are as follows:

1. Myself and Others This topic will focus on

recognising feelings and

understanding that their

 behaviour affects other people,

especially when angry.2. Family Networks

This topic will focus on family

and friends caring for one

another.

3. Body Awareness

This topic will focus on

appreciation of their bodies, its

capabilities and uniqueness

4. Hygiene

This topic will focus on

understanding the importance of hygiene.

Visitor Lanyards

Can I remind parents who are

coming in to help with readingetc, to please sign in at the office

and wear a visitor lanyard so thatyou can be identified when in the

school.

Talking of helpers....... we will soon be

asking for those of you who are able to

spare an hour of your valuable time to

come in and help our little heroes make

their capes!

Story Time

I would like to appeal to parents who

speak another language to come into

school and share stories with the class.

It is important that we value each andevery culture and the whole class would

 benefit. If you’re interested please

come and speak to me.

 Water Bottles!!

Please can your child bring a water

bottle to school with them each day.

Although they have access to water, Ifeel it would be more hygienic if they

had their own bottle that they couldindependently access whenever

necessary, especially as the weather is

getting warmer. Thanks to the majority

of you who are already doing this.
