General facts Colombia is in the list of the 12 richest

countries in biodiversity in the world. This group of countries has the 70% of the world biodiversity.

It is the second richest country in the world in terms of species, after Brazil. In average, one of every ten species of fauna and flora in the world is in Colombia.

Colombia owns 49% of the moors of the world. They have almost 10% of the vegetable biodiversity of the country and the 8% of the species of the region. They regulate the water that is consumed by 70% of the Colombian population.
