Framing the Issues of Cloud Computing & Sustainability: A Design Perspective

Enterprise Model
As resources are no longer physically stored on a specific device, it becomes clear that Cloud Computing influences the user mental model and experience
with digital artifacts, especially in terms of organization and retrieval of
information
That allows people to navigate and orient themselves in the Cloud, and to define their landmarks for finding and using their information at any time and
from any device.
Cloudroom: a conceptual model for managing data in space and time
solely focus on their daily life and use the services when needed without
disrupting everyday activities
Botnet-inspired architecture for interactive spaces
We need to put the power in the people's hands and explore the potential from
social programming. The success of the Apple App Store is a good indication for
this. Mash-up tools have also started this trend for composing web-based
applications. More collaboration should be developed with the cloud computing
crowd.
User interface plasticity: model driven engineering to the limit
Awaiting discovery is an entirely new world in which mobile computing seamlessly augments the cognitive abilities of users using compute-
intensive capabilities such as speech recognition, natural language processing, computer vision and graphics, machine
learning, augmented reality, planning and decision-making. By thus empowering mobile
users, we could transform many areas of human activity.
The Case for VM-based Cloudlets in Mobile Computing
1. Location-based cloud interactivity devices
2. Cloud sustainability meters and social networking
