Wolverine Mine Production Update The Wolverine Mine processing plant is being commissioned with modification and optimization work ongoing. Ore has been processed from surface stockpiles to produce zinc, copper and lead concentrates (see below for mill process). The mill processing facility is operating at approximately 30% capacity and YZC plans on increasing these levels to design capacity of 1700tpd during 2011. Maple Leaf Loading commenced haulage of concentrate from the mine to the port at Stewart, B.C. in late October, for subsequent shipment to Asian smelters. Local Benefits to Communities YZC works with the communities of Ross River and Watson Lake to maximize social and economic benefits:

Since the implementation in 2005 of the Kaska Socioeco-nomic Participation Agreement overseen by the Ross River Dena Council, the local communities have and will continue to benefit from employment, target-based payments, joint venture business opportunities, and community initiatives (see chart right).

Through Kaska joint venture contracts during the Wolverine Mine Construction (late 2008-mid 2010), direct financial benefits approximated $4M.

Wolverine Employment YZC places a high importance on local hiring within the Yukon:

In 2010 for operation positions, Yukoners submitted 18% of the resumes, resulting in 25% of the total hires (see chart right).

Currently there are 97 staff at Wolverine and this will increase to approximately 190 as production ramps up in 2011.

As a result of continuous training and development, 11 Kaska Nation members have received promotions. Site training and development will remain a priority for management.
