ORDER

WHEREAS, in exercise of the powers cont'ered by sub-section (2) of Section 32 sf lhe National Council for

Teacher Education Act, 1993 (73 of tlO:; ana in supersession of the National Council for Teacher Education

(Recognition l.,lorms ard Procedure) Regulations, 2009, the National Council for Teacher Education has notified the

Regulations, 2014 on 01.12.2014.

2. AND WHEREAS, the recognition was granted by NRC to Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar-

Ludhiana, G.T. Road, Near Chehru Railway Bridge, Phagwara-144402, Punjab for M.Ed. Course vide order

No. F.NRC/NCTE/F-7IPB-494131051-31056 dated 22.10.2007 with an annual intake of 25 seats.

3. AllD WHEREAS, the institution, Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar-Ludhiana, G.T. Road'

Near Chehru Railway Bridge, Phagwara-144402, Puniab has by affid.avit consented to come under New

Regulations and sought for one basic unit in M.Ed., which require additional facilities.

-1. AND WHEREAS, it has been decided to permit the institution to have one basic unit of 50 students subject to

the institution fulfilling following conditions, namely:

(i) The institution shall create additional f'acilities that include (a) additional built-up-area. (b) additional

infrastructure, (c) additional funds, (d) adhere to staff norms as per Regulations, 2014 and inform Regional

Committees with required documents by October 3l'2015.rii) The application-lnstitution for additional unit will be required to subrnit the required documents such as land

docLlments. Encumbrance Cenltlcate (EC). l-and l.ise Cenificate {LUC) a:rd the Buiiding Fiarr (EiF) iri iire

specified proforma available on the website to the Regional Committee in proof of having provided additional

facilities before October 31,2015. Building completion Certificate (BCC) may be given along with other

documents if available, otherwise it can also be given to the Visiting Team at the tirne of inspection.

(iii) The Regional Committees shall arrange for verification of documents, inspection of these premises and check

adherence to these condition by 20 February,2016.liit is found by the Regional Committee that the institution

fails to comply with these requirements, the institutions shall not be permitted to admit students fbr the academic

year 2016-2017.(ir') In case any existing institution's matter is sub-iudice under court direction/SCN under section l7 of the NCTE

Act/ Complaint etc.. the institution shall be required to submit a copy of the Hon'ble Court order/reply to

SCN/complaintlalready submitted alongwith the documents, if any together the documents referred above. In

case the institution's request for shitting of premises is pending, such institution shall be required to submit the

requisite documents as per provisions of the NCTE Regulations, 2014 with a copy of the order,A.lOC of the

affiliating body/State Govt. and such other documents as indicated in the revised format recognition order. The

final decision shall be subject to the directions given by the Hon'ble Court in the Writ Petition/oase decided bythe ),lorthem Regional Committee in respect of Section l7lcomplaint cases etc.

/5. Now therefore, in the light of the above. the Northern Regional Committee, NCTE hereby issues the revisgC

Recognition Order to Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar-Ludhiana, G.T. Road, Near Chehru Ra?I'{ayBridge, Phagwara-I44402, Punjab lbr conducting M.Ed. programme of two yezrr duration with an annual intake of 50fbr one basic unit of 50 students from the academic session 2015-2016 subiect to fulfillment of the conditions metttioned

6. This revised order will be treated as cariccllcC in respcct of those cases where recognition of the insiitution has

been withdrawn by NRC, NCTE.

7. Further, the recognition is subject to fulfilhnent o1'all such other requirements as may be prescribed by otherregulatory bodies like [JGC, affiliating Urriversity/ Body, State Govemment etc. as applicable. The affiliating body(University/State Gqvt.) shall aiso be required to verify the authenticity o1' the land & building documents as well as

appointment of requisite teaching & non-teaching stafl'as per provisions of the NCTE Regulations. 2014 by the concerned

institution before grant ofatfiiiation to an institution.

8. The institution shall submit to the Regional Committee a Self-Appraisal Report at the end of each academic year

along with the statement ofannual accounts duly audited by a Chanered A.ccountant.

9. The institution shall maintain & update its website as per provisions of NCTE Regulations and always displayfollowing as mandatory disclosure.

(a) Sanctioned programmes along with annual intake in the institution.(b) Name oi thc iacuiiy aird staff in full as rne+tlene4 in school certificate along with their qualifications, scale

of pay and photograph.(c) Name of faculty members who left ofjoined during the last quarter.(d) Names of students admitted during the current session along with qualification, percentage of marks in the

qualifing examination and in the entrance test, if any, date of admission, etc.Fee charged from students.Available infrastruetural facilities.Facilities added during the last quarter..Number of books in the library, joumals subscribed to and additions, if any, in the last quarter.The affidavit with enclosure submitted along with application.The institution shall be free to post additional relevant information, if is so desires.Any false or incomplete information on website shall render the institution liable for withdrawal ofrecognition.

10. Any false or incomplete information on the website of the institution shall render the institution liable forwithdrawal of recognition.

If the institution Contravenes any the above conditions or the provision of the NCTE Acq Rules, Regulations andOrders made and issued there under, the institution will render itseti liable to adverse action including with<irarval dfrecognition by the Regional committee under the provisions of Section I 7( I ) of the NCTE Act.
