Letters of Recommendations: Tips
Give the recommender at least two weeks notice
Provide recommender with a brag sheet, resume or information about yourself
Provide online information if the recommendation is through common application. Email alerts will be sent to your recommenders
Provide a stamped and addressed envelope to the university to which you are applying, so the recommender can mail directly in a sealed envelope
Write a thank you letter for their time
