Repeat this some times in full focus.

    Again relax.

“I Am Zen, Zen is me – I do not know me, I do not know Zen.” Repeat this

    some times in full focus.

Do this meditation for 20 minutes and open your eyes. Drink some water.

Notice everything in your life. Do not analyse, do not draw conclusions.

Live your day, live your life today.

    Madness versus Silence Meditation

This is a very powerful technique and should be done in great care.

    First Part:

Start acting madly. Scream and jump around. Act like a mad human being

    – explode, release, do anything crazy as intensely as you can. You can also

dance or shake, say stupid things or scream and throw pillows around.

Breathe heavily through your mouth. Act out as if you are in a movie

acting out the role of explosive behaviours but care not to hurt your self– preferably do this in an empty space with loud dance music. Do this for

10-15 minutes. It is highly cathartic on all levels – You can also do Osho’s

Dynamic Meditations. (they are in CD format – very easy to follow).

    Second Part:

Sit in zazen and close your eyes. Relax and be silent. Act our as if you are

a Bodhisattva, a Totally Enlightened and Awakened Being of Wisdom and

Compassion. Empty your mind. Enjoy the Silence and relax at a deeperstate and be aware. Enjoy the nothingness, simply suppose you are the

Buddha. Think like the Buddha, be like the Buddha. Do this meditation for

15-30 minutes and then open your eyes to everyday life.

Do the above meditation for 7 days in a row.

    Prajna Meditation: Emptiness

What is emptiness? What is the Void? Emptiness and void are

everywhere, all around… Zen is empty, Zen is emptiness, the void is Zen…

Focus on anything. On yourself, another person, or any object. You can

preferably use a book, a glass of water or even better a candle and a

flame. You can also do this with a stone, a rock or with sand.

    Relax.

Try to see beyond the object, beyond the form: Try to imagine the

emptiness. The emptiness ‘behind’, the emptiness ‘beyond’, the emptiness‘before’.

Do this for 10 minutes. Repeat for seven consecutive days.

    Alternative Meditation:

Close your eyes and ask your self: “What is the Void? What is

    emptiness?”

Observe whatever comes to mind… Notice everything and relax. Repeat

    the question and wonder.

    Enso Infinity Meditation

    Practice 1:

Sit in zazen, sitting position on your feet and legs, and close your eyes.

Take some deep breaths and relax. Relax your mind and body. Release.

    Relax deeper. Breathe more deeply.

Visualize the Enso, the Circle, which is the Zen symbol of perfection,

    wholeness, totality and infinity.

Keep this visualisation as clear as possible for as much as you can.

Relax at a deeper state and be aware.

Open your eyes and drink some water. Notice everything in your life. Do

not analyse, do not draw conclusions.

Live your day, live your life today.

Do the above meditation for 7 days in a row.

    Practice 2:

Draw the Enso on a piece of paper and gaze at it.

Focus on it for at least 10 minutes.

Say “Zen Attunement to the Enso Perfection, Enso Totality, Enso

    Wholeness, Enso Infinity, Enso Divinity.”

    Repeat several times.

    Nirvana Meditation

Nirvana is the goal of Zen, the goal of Buddhism. It is the release into

nothingness and into the All, the Infinite, the Absolute, theTranscendental Divine. Nirvana is Ultimate Liberation, Freedom and

Blissful Eternal Life. Nirvana is the completion of one’s Dharma, Life

Purpose and the transcendence of all desire and karma – law of rebirth,

    law of cause and effect.

Close your eyes and meditate for a few moments into these divine zen

    truths, taught by Gautama Buddha.

Take a deep breath, clear your mind and say to your mind “NirvanaExperience, Transcend this plane of illusion Now, Nirvana is the goal of

    All Life…”

Take a second deep breath, clear your emotions and heart and say to your

heart / emotional center: “Nirvana Experience, Transcend this plane of

illusion Now, Nirvana is the goal of All Life…”

Take a third deep breath, clear and awaken your spirit and say to your

spirit “Nirvana Experience, Transcend this plane of illusion Now, Nirvanais the goal of All Life…”

Stay in this for 10-20 minutes and experience everything or nothing at

all. Just note and observe. Be aware. Relax deeper and deeper, go higher

    and higher.

Rest. Take a bath / shower.

Repeat this enlightenment practice of nirvana for 7 days.

    Tanden Meditation

Place your right palm on your tanden and your left palm on top of the

right. The tanden is your energy center, the healing center of the body,

your centering point, a star of power within. It is found approximately

one and a half inches below the navel and one and a half inches inside.

Relax and center there. Bring your attention to this inner point of energy

    and power.

Mentally ask from this center to be fully awakened. See it, feel it

becoming awakened, alive, radiant, conscious, full of light, energeticallybrilliant and powerful. See and feel as this is happening,

Breathe into it. Breathe deeper, more consciously, awaken it. Bring the in-

breath into this brilliant point of power.

Do a total of 20 breaths.

Meditate on the energy of this center. Feel the energy, see it, experience

    it.

Mentally say: “The Great Healing Buddha of Brilliant Light is now bringing

forth the Ultimate Tanden Empowerment…” three times.

Feel and see the energies. Relax.

Repeat for seven days this sacred healing empowerment given in great

    compassion by the Buddha.

Bring your hands in prayer position in front of the chest. Stay for 1

minute or for more. Visualise the Enso and say “Kensho” or

    “Enlightenment” three times.

Raise them above your head and keep your palms together in prayer

position. Visualize the Enso and say “Kensho” or “Enlightenment” another

three times. Stay for 1 minute.

Bring your hands back in prayer position in front of the chest. Again,

after you visualise the Enso, say “Kensho” or “Enlightenment” another

three times. Stay for 1 minute or more.

    Shikantaza: Meditation with no techniques.

    Shikantaza 1:

Sit in meditation posture and close your eyes. Meditate with no

visualisation, no thinking at all. Just relax. Just be. Just breathe and just

be the no one, the no thing, the emptiness, for 15 minutes.

    Shikantaza 2:

Imagine that there is not even one meditation technique in the world!

There is nothing! You have to create your own spirituality and techniques

and your own method to contact your self, the All, the void and the divine.

    What would you do?

    What would you think?

What processes, techniques, methods and meditations would you create

    and follow?

What would you say? Sing and chant? Visualise and affirm, pray and wish?

Start by sitting in meditation posture and do or think nothing at all.

Stay for 20-30 minutes. Repeat the next days.

    The rest will follow.

    Sand Meditation

Play with the sand! Create a pattern on the sand. Use a stick or your palm.

    Use your fingers.

Relax and focus on the pattern, figure, picture on the sand. It can be

anything simple like a circle, a geometric pattern, a number, a line, a

    drawing or anything.

    Meditate on this.

    Breathe into it.

Think about its meaning. Watch any details. Watch any thoughts and

    feelings, any mental pictures.

Close your eyes and visualise it.

    Then erase it.

Meditate and think about the meaning of the sand and its relationship toReality.

What is the relationship between the sand and Zen?...

You can focus on a colour or on a sound, any sound.

    Relax.

Observe every detail and meditate on the colour or the sound.

What is the relationship of this object / colour /sound to the All? To the

Nothing? To Zen? To You? to Buddha? To a great Bodhisattva?

What is this really? Really become one with it until there is no subject

and no object, until you are one.

Do this for 15 minutes. Repeat for seven consecutive days.

    Osesshin

This is truly powerful and soul awakening zen practice!

This is a full week of continuous meditation. For seven days you sit in

zazen and you only stop meditation to sleep, eat, read, etc.

You can just breathe, empty yourself of all garbage and just be. Be

    aware, be conscious, be here.

Continuously ask to find out who you are. Continuously search and inquire

for the True Buddha Nature and for the Nature of Reality.

You can also be meditating on symbols, colours, sounds and mantras and on

the Zen quotes, sayings, verses and philosophy.

It is best if it is done in natural setting, on the mountains or near the sea,

    etc.
