Thestandardblankingplugisheldinthenipplewithlanterncollets.Theplughasanequal-

isingfeatureallowingretrievalwhenhydrostaticpressureexistsabove.Theblankingplug

withlanterncolletsisnotsuitablefordeploymentoncoiltubingorwhenwellsarenaturally

freeflowing.

A lockingblankingplug,havingapositive lockmechanismtoholdtheplug inthenipple

profile,isavailableforuseinfreeflowingwellsorwhereitisnecessaryfortheplugtobe

retrievedandinstalledusingcoiltubing.

Toolscanbeequippedwitheitherquartzorstraingaugepressuretransducersandalternative

batterypackoptionsareavailabletosuitthedurationofthedataacquisitionwindow.

Bypassinstallationtoolsenablethesafeassemblyofthebypasssystemontherigfloor.The

toolsconsistofaworktable,bypasstubingliftsubandbypasssupportclamp.

TheworktableprovidesaplatformataconvenientheightonwhichtheESPassemblycom-

ponentscanbeconnectedandservicedwhilstthebypasstubingisadjacent.

Thebypasstubingliftsubhasaswivelconnectiontoenableeasymake-uptothebypass

tubingjoints.A“collareyebolt”providesforconnectionofstandardliftshacklesforhoisting

ofthebypassjointsontherigfloor.

Thebypasssupportclampisusedtotaketheweightofthebypasstubingwhilstitismade

uptotheswivelnippleassembly.
