Zonal Cleaning

Zonal Cleaning is a new way of working which is adaptedor changed based on the Customer and the facility’sexact requirements. It ensures a true focus on the important things to RBS, eliminating unnecessary work and wastefulness.

it’s flexibility means it can be easily adapted to localinstruction, requirements and changes in the RBSbusiness. The approach will be more cost effective, lesslabour intensive, highly optimised and efficient.

These task cards are to support ISS employees in adopting this new approach to our customer centric service delivery.

What is Zonal Cleaning?

Zonal Cleaning

1. Ensure you have confirmed attendance using the designated site telephone or signing in book.

2. Wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) at all times. This includes safety glasses when mixing chemicals

3. Check all equipment prior to use and return in a clean and safe condition. Any defects must be reported to your Supervisor.

4. Collect your trolley/cleaning material from the store room ensuring you are equipped with:• Cloths• Easy Shine Kit (if applicable)• Mop bucket and enough heads for the shift.• Consumables (hand soap and toilet tissue)• Spray bottles with pre dosed Sani 4-1 and Sprint 200

Before you start work remember to:

1. Pay particular attention to high use areas such as washrooms, meeting rooms, eating and dispensing areas, lobbys and receptions and all customer facing areas ensuring quality standard is met.

2. Inspect back office areas and ensure quality standard is met.3. Where possible, use the Easy Shine Kit on all glass partitions and

laminated wall surfaces.4. Always display ‘Wet floor’ signs in the areas that are being mopped. 5. Do not use emergency exits unless there is an emergency (fire)6. When the shift is completed, ensure all chemicals and equipment are

securely locked away in the area provided.
