*Note: End of Year Zoom Conferences will be conducted Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week. Therefore, teachers will not be holding open instructional Zoom meetings due to this schedule change. Please plan for a Thursday Zoom class meeting at 11:00.

WEEK 11–DAY 1 MONDAY

Zoo Week! Language Arts (ELA)

Start your zoo experience by viewing some of the animals at the Smithsonian National Zoo. Be ready to share your riddle at the next class meeting.

Math Zoo Fun: Optional - The teachers encourage you to try to create a budget for your own zoo. If you choose $100, you can only spend $100 or less. If you choose $1,000, you can only spend $1,000 or less. Remember when buying that you may not purchase more than 3 of any one kind of animal. WEEK 11 –DAY 3 WEDNESDAY

Math Zoo Fun: Optional - The teachers encourage you to create a schedule for feeding your animals. You will need to allow at least 15 minutes of time with each group of animals, plus you will need to leave some time to walk to the next exhibit. Predict the menu of food options. “Your day” will start at 7:00 am sharp! See the schedule worksheet below.
